Great to hear from you. My daughter suffered with terrible mood swings. One minute she was happy and the next she would bite my head off.Its all part of the frustration of the anxiety. They act out because they cant explain what they are feeling. Your are all on the right track and he will learn to deal with his anxiety as he gets older. Please feel free to talk with me anytime. I felt so alone when my daughter was at her worse and i never want anyone to feel like that. Keep doing what u are doing. It takes time.I wanted my daughter fixed straight away but it has taken a couple of years and we sometimes still deal with it. ♥ to you all.

Dear Marina. What a wonderful person you are to be so concerned about ur mother in laws child. My daughter is 10 and had severe anxiety as well and she couldnt attend school and was also on medications. The first thing u can do is tell your mother in law and her son they are not alone and anxiety in children is very common but sometimes its worse for some kids more then others. My daughter wouldnt leave the house to a fear of vomiting and getting sick and she use to wash her hands so much she made them peel.My daughter went to a therapist for over two years and it takes a long time before you see progress so dont give up hope sweety!! The medications take along time as well so keep going with that as well.I live in Australia.I can give you some names of places i took my daughter and she is doing great now.Where r u living?

hi we need all the help we can get my mother in laws child witch is 10 has terrible anxiety he takes 5mg of Prozac and it doesnt help at all he has stopped going to school because of his anexety and is now home schooled and is a very good student but because he is now home schooled for the past couple months he will not get into a good junior high. it has been just terrible with his anxiety to the point of him almost never leaving the house. is there any recommendation from a mothers point on how to cope with this or how to deal with your child and all the tantrums and anxiety. he has a therapist but nothing seems to help.
