hi all I need advice my daughter is 9 months old she just starts to fuss and cry when her daddy tries to sleep in the family bed , my husband works over nights except for 2 nights a week so he isn't home during those days and it is just me and the baby in the bed she sleeps well.
Last night she fussed and cried so much my husband went and slept in another room once he left she laid down and went to sleep without a peep.

While I am all about co-sleeping, and attatchment parenting; I also fully believe in the parents having a functional relationship and marriage. If your husband can sleep next to you, that is a problem. If all the other suggestions don't work (I really like the body pillow simulating your husband idea!) - it may be time for your baby girl to have a bed of her own.

I wonder if she feels crowded when you are all three in bed or that she dosent have her "baby space." My boyfriend and I each slept with one of our twin boys in bed when they came home from the hospital and they each were very different and picky as to how they were positioned in bed. Maybe you could put a body pillow in Daddys spot when he's not there do she gets used to something being in that spot. I know it might sound silly, but it could work.

Does she sleep between you? Can you put her on the other side of you with a bed rail? Or do you think it's just his presence that upsets her?
