My 5 yrs old son talks to himself.He is my only kid and has not started his school yet.I want to know is this a normal behaviour for a kid and should I stop him?

I talk to myself all the time, especially while I'm driving around town. My son had gotten to the point where he'll say, "What did you say?" and I'll reply "Nothing" and he'll say "Oh, are you just talking to yourself again?" I have to laugh. Now I find him talking to himself sometimes. It's just a way to work things out in your head.
