Quoting Amanda :

Yes as the PP said, if she isn't interested then it will do no good trying to force her to potty train. Kylie is my 4th. With my kids I tried not to do the pull ups and all cause they just thought they were just like a diaper. What I suggest is if she shows interest take her and put her on the potty every 30 mins to and hour. Give her plenty to drink so she has to go, and if you have the time to devote to consistentcy, put her in big girl underwear. Be prepared there are going to be accidents! One way to tell if she is ready is if she comes up to you and says mommy I poopoo or whatever after she goes in her diaper. that shows that she is aware of what her body is doing and she is ready to train because it bothers her being ina dirty diaper. Make a BIG deal about it when she does use the potty. Dance and sing. You should see the looks I get when we are out eating somewhere and she says she has to go. We go skipping to the potty, and we come out singing our potty song. Those with no kids think I am crazy but those that have litle ones are shaking their head in agreement and excitement. Best thing I can say is be consistent amd dont get discouraged or upset with her when she makes a mistake.(That's what they make washing machines for lol) Anyways I hoe I have given you some helpful tips. Wishing you and Abby the best on your potty training journey!!

This is exactally what Ive done with my April 07 boy. No pull ups just right into propper undies. It took him 3 days and now hes always in underwear during the day (except for car rides and sleeping/naps.) I made my son his very own sticker toilet chart and got him to help write him name and he got to chose is own stickers and every time he did a wee he got one sticker and one lolly, everytime he did a poo he would get two stickers and one lolly. He loves showing everyone all the stickers hes gotten. Also we didnt use a potty he went straight on the toilet with a toddler seat because mummy and daddy dont use a potty.

They honestly will not train until they are ready to do so. I suggest Elmo's Potty Time on DVD and letting her go with you to the bathroom when you go and encouraging her to sit on her own potty. If you make it out to being like Mommy she is more likely to show interest.
