Hi everyone. I just joined. My name is Elana and I have a 24 month old daughter. She has been sleeping with us since she was 6 months old and about 6 months ago we have tried aving her sleep on a mattress near our beds but not in our beds. We had our good days and bad days - some days she slept the whole night on the mattress others she would climb into our beds in the middle of the night. She went through a traumatic event at day care in july and since then has not slept one full night on the mattress. most nights she gets up at anywhere between 11-3 to come into our beds for me to hold her. anyhow to make a long story short, my parents are buying her a big girls bed and I want to get her sleeping in it. Does anyone have any suggestions how to make the transiton - to own bed and own room. I know it aint going to be easy but could really use some good tips how to make it as easy as possible on all of us.

Thank you
