This community is in need of a new admin!
f you would like to become an admin, please MESSAGE us with a little about yourself and the community you are interested in admining.
To learn more about what an admin does, please read the following information:
Being a community admin is not unlike being a mom. Your job is about nurturing-- but in this case you're nurturing a community. The most important thing you bring to the job is your enthusiasm and energy for connecting with other moms. All those skills you're developing through parenting are also really helpful here: good judgment, wisdom, patience, and restraint.
There's a growing set of tools to help you and your group thrive, including the ability to appoint moderators to help you. You'll have the ability to invite new members and personally welcome them when they arrive. You can start contests and polls. You can send messages to all your members at once, to draw their attention to important events or information. And you'll continue to post regularly yourself, to model positive ways for the group to share and interact.
To keep the tone civil and productive, we also suggest you close off threads when they become too lengthy. You should regularly review and delete posts that have been flagged as inappropriate, issue gentle warnings to members who go off track, and, in very rare cases, block members who ignore these warnings. (Offensive posts or comments may include solicitations and ads, off-topic posts, personal attacks, and comments that do not meet your community's standards for civil and productive exchange.)
Last but not least, you'll also be invited to join the Leaders Circle, where you can swap ideas with other admins and give us feedback on ways to improve both Circle of Moms and the communities within it.
Again, SEND US A MESSAGE. Comments to this post will not have the same priority as members who message us.
