hey my lil boy was born on the 1st of april and i was wonderin if any1 had any tips on potty trainin boys coz now its gettin warmer again i would love 2 hav him out of nappies as soon as possible. he already has the general idea and will go in the potty when he is runnin around in the nude but as soon as i stick underwear on him he will go in them without thinkin. i think he gets confused between undies and nappies. so yeh if any1 has any suggestions i would be grateful. thanx guys :-)

i have three boys, my middle son(born april 12th) just started weeing standing up yesterday, on his own accord. in our house the kids always come in when your on the toilet, so they got to see how daddy goes to the toilet. my first son used a potty for no 2's first, i would sit him down the same time everyday and read him a story while he sat on it. my middle son refused the potty cause he saw everybody else use the big toilet, so thats all he uses. warm weather is the perfect time to toilet train, thats when i started all mine. let them run around nude, and just ask them alot if they need to go, and keep trying the undies. good luck

this is my 3rd time pt'ing and I know people say dont bribe your child but honestly its been the fastest way for us. we let them know that when they go potty on the potty they get an m&m or something similar, could be anything doesnt have to be food lol. We had to let our middle child get matchbox cars every day he went with out an accident lol. they pick up on it fast b/c they want the goods lol. GOOD LUCK!

one thing you could try that i am in the process of doing now my son was born april 5 07 is make him wear his undies and when he has an accident let him help you clean the mess up in is pee or poo pants then take him to the potty and explain where he has to go eventually it may take a little bit of time and patience he'll understand its getting better for us im just lazy and not consisten

Hi there. I have a 2yrs and 8m old boy and I'm still training him to use the potty. the best way, is letting him know he is to tell you when he wants to go to the potty do not force him as it will be a problem for you to get him out of the nappies and it can also be very upsetting for him. He will also have problems in going to the potty as well and also if you are not going out for the day let him run around with out a nappy on then he will be able to let you know when he wants to go potty. My little prince is loving it and he goes toilet with out telling me he wants to go. be patient and praise him when he uses the potty regular and reward him to.

My son was going potty for about 3 weeks straight last summer and hasn't went again since. We did the sticker chart and it worked great. The cheerios worked too as well as the undies w/ characters. So yeah, they all worked but he just isn't into it anymore!

Catch him in the act. I do a 3-day potty training guide (www.easypottytraining.com) that has them going to the potty by themselves by the end of the 3rd day. It worked on my daughter like a charm. When you see him start to go, run him to the potty and let him finish there. He'll get the idea very soon. Good luck!

I had to let my son run around naked for a good week. The next week i put pants on him, but no undies. I had to make it a point to stay home so we could be commited to potty training. Here we are on week three, wearing undies and it's going great!

I put cheerios in the potty for my son to aim at...makes it a fun game. Also I put him in underwear with his fav. charater on it and told him ..."dont peepee or poopoo on spiderman he'll be mad if u pee on him" and he was easy to potty train. also sit him on the toilet backwards and he'll eventually just start standing up and peeing.
