Any good tips on potty training my 2 1/2 boy... he is just not interested! It seems it will never happen at the rate we're going.

My son isn't interested at all either. I bought a potty a year ago and it's always at his disposal. We've been reading a potty book. I'll really tackle this in the spring when it won't be cold to walk around in underwear and a t-shirt.

Quoting Dawn:

With my son I just put him in underwear. Did it cold turkey. It took three days of accidents but after that he was using the potty regularly. Still leave a diaper on at naptime and bedtime. We also carry his portable potty in the back of our car just in case we are out on the road somewhere with no potty. But the best advice I tell every mom that is potty training is to skip the pull ups and put them straight in underwear.

This has been the best technique for mee too.  I was told to try this but was scared of how it would work, not to mention the mess....but so, far it's been one week and we have seen a drastic improvement.  I put him in the traing cloth underwear and a plastic covers.  He has not we his underwear once!  The only thing is I wish he could tell us when he wants to go to the potty instead of me taking him periodically.

Sorry, no tips. We're in the same boat. We tried twice for one day and then something would come up and we'd decide to hold it off again. I think we're going to wait until spring when it gets warmer. However, a reward system has definitey helped and setting a timer to make sure he gets on the potty enough helped too.
