I heard there is supposed to be a big growth spurt at 9 months. Just wondering if anyone has noticed that their little one has been getting bigger or stretching out? It seems like mine really has in the last couple weeks. Also, his naps have gotten longer (about 3 naps at over 1 hour now, up from about 3 lasting 15 minutes). Just wondering where everyone else's kids are.

Hey... just a quick question... I know this is old but my daughter is having the same issues and she is also 9 months old. How did he make out?

Viktoria just recently started sleeping for more than 20 mins. She now takes 1 nap and sleeps for about 2 hours, occassionally she will take a short nap in the evening for about 20-30 mins depending on the days activities but that is rare. She does however sleep from about 8pm to 7am.

my son doesnt take too many naps, I feel lucky if I get one good nap in but he does sleep from about 8 or 8:30pm to about 9 or 10 am. I guess thats why he doesnt take naps. he always eats like a horse so I dont notice much difference there. He is getting huge he's already in mostly 12 to 18 mo. clothes (and with the shortest legs I have ever seen --his daddy's haha) He hasnt crawled yet he is really close but he loves to run around in his walker. he already has 7 teeth and can give 5's, clap, and wave bye bye

I'm not sure, it seems like my son has slowed down a bit on growing.  He grew like a weed for the first while, he is about 30inches long, and somewhere around 21-22lbs maybe.  He's pretty long and skinny.  He doesn't sleep worth a crap, at night or during the day for that matter.  Too nosy, might miss something.

In regards to you Tuesday Harrison, my son didn't do anything until 7 months, he seemed really active, but wasn't sitting, crawling, and he was justing starting to really want to stand when you held him, which took awhile(but the Jolly Jumper helped).  Suddenly within a week he was sitting, pulling himself up on furniture, crawling, and got his first 2 teeth.  He's an all or nothing kind of guy.  Maybe each maybe just does stuff when they feel the need.

Breanna is 9 months and one week and it seems she just grew all of a sudden! I bought her a bunch of new clothes at christmas and she doesn't fit into some already! She is in 12-18 month clothing. She's always been tall. She just started taking only one nap a day for 3 hours but she doesn't sleep through the night very well. She has been able to sit since she was 6 1/2 months and she's been crawling since 6 months. She just started to stand all on her own!! I'm soo proud. And she can say mama dada and baba!!

Sorry for going on like that but I love any excuse to talk about her:)

Landon is 9mo and he just seems really behind as far as sitting or crawling. He still does not sit on his own and he will not go from a laying to sitting posistion. If you sit him up he falls over. He does get on his knees but not for long. He seems to just want to stick to rolling over everywhere in the house.

He does sleep a lot during the day, I would say 3 naps atleast an hour each. He still doesn't sleep through the night. He gets up once for a bottle. As far as eating goes, He will eat anything. He never did like baby food so we had to make our own with what ever we were eating or different things. He has two teeth on top and two on the bottom with another coming in.

The Dr. wants me to call HELP ME GROW a program in my county to work with him because he is behind on things but I think he will get it. My other boys were late in some things too.

My twin boys didn't put on a lot of weight from 8-9 months (about 300g each) but each grew 3.5cm when normally they only grow 2-2.5cm a month.

So...apparently Caden's growth spurt is over. Today he went down for a nap at about 2:00 and was awake at 2:20:( Oh well, he's back to himself again lol

I've noticed my daughter taking longer naps during the day and wanting to eat more. She's been growing like a weed. She's just 9 months and she's in 12-18 month clothing. At this exact moment she is trying to pull herself to a standing position in her pack-n-play.

With my little one I have noticed her sleeping habits have changed.  She is down to 1 LONG nap, about 3 hrs! and sleeps about 11-12hrs at night.  They say that's when they grow, so we'll see.

Hi,  My little one has been eating like a horse since Christmas.  She is 9 monthsold today.  When they sleep and eat alot that is a sign that they are growing.  She sleeps about 1 1/2 to 2 hours 3 times a day and sleeps about 10 -12 hours at night.  I notice because I am always with her I dont notice the little growth spurts she has.  Where as my partner and parents do.  My little one is crawling aswell and has losts a bit of baby fat around her face and thighs.  My only suggestion is to research it.  Try Baby Center or Huggies.

Andre is 75cm long. He also have 3 naps during the day, but the middle one is for about 2 hours long. And some days he only naps twice and not three times, but then they are for longer periods. He definitely did grow a lot faster lately than usual.
