Baby started walking at 7 months, now running....anyone else?

My son just turned 7 months he's been walking holding my hand since 6 he just started pulling himself up using furniture in what I guess is called "cruising" his birthday is the 18th so he's not far into 7months. He can mimic finger snapping motion wave give high five and point. I am looking forward to him walking on his own as he is really driven to do so, I think he will be a runner as well...congrats

yep. my husband walked at seven and a half months old and my daughter took off on the DAY she turned eight months. one month later she was building those ingenious ladders that Bill Cosby always talked about. by 18 months those baby proofing gadgets only managed to keep me and my husband out of cleaning chemicals. apparently.

My little 10 months old boy just started walking unsupported for about 8-10 steps, he prefers to walk with just one hand holding mine. But he doesnt crawl at all. It makes me wonder if there's anything wrong with him for not crawling.

Dont worry about it, babies hardly ever are textbooks... my lil man started walking about a month agon and now he runs.. bumping into stuff along the way but he just doesnt understand why he has to slow down.. so that's me running all over the house with him barely able to keep up... I see a future sports star!

Maggie started walking at 10months. Some babies just learn differently at at there own pace.

My daughter could stand and dance alone at 7 months and began to walk at 8 months ... by 9 months she was a pro lol. She turned 10 months about a week ago and she is a little monkey running everywhere. She also says a number of words like Uh oh, ook (look, and she points, so cute), dog, mama, dada, nana. It is just incredible!!! Its just the craziest thing watching them grow! She still only has two teeth though lol!

He can also open doors!! Not the standard round knobs, but the handle shaped ones.

Oh My Gosh!! My son started walking at 7 1/2 months and he too has been doing laps around the house. One night he just started getting faster and faster until he was running. So at 10 months he is going strong and just getting quicker and quicker! He has also said a couple words besides mama and dada. He says Hi and he said No. Of course at first I thought it was just wishful thinking on my part, but others have heard. And our doctor was suprised when I told him about his development!

It cool that she is walking early but be sure to nurture the other developmental areas too

Gross motor skills - walking, runing crawling

Fine motor skills - picking up small objects ect

Social - emotional understanding (smiling at you when you smile at her) ect

Cognitive - Problem solving

Creative - speaks for itself

im sure if you help her with these areas too she will be a super child :D

My son is 9mths and he stands up by himself but is yet to step, but he is very social, loves picking up the tiniest speck of dirt off the floor, he puts items into tiny holes, (i have this toy where the blocks go into the fishes head and they will just fit) he also has figured out how to open the shower sliding door, he opens up my mobile flip phone, he also knows how to be creative even if it is by smearing vegemite all over the place haha.

She feeds herself and can pick up small items like cheerios really well. She can put shaped blocks into a bucket but not through the right sized holes yet. She can reach the door knob and tries to turn it but isn't tall nor strong enough yet. She hasn't started to form words yet but gets the sounds, ba, da, ma, ga down pretty well. I don't know if that makes her advanced or just eager to set out and explore. She's super happy, sleeps well, eats well....I'm pretty certain this means my next baby might be a little demon. I think I'm probably really lucky.

My son was crawling at 6mths and pulling himself up on stuff at 6 and a half mths then walkin in between items of furniture at 8mths, and when i walk with him he walks flat foot, which is a sure sign he is almost walking. but he needs to slow himself down he gets too excited and falls over. Is the advanced in every other area or just the walking, my son is very advanced in learning new things, shiw him twicw and he has things down pat, im running out of new things to teach him.

All babies are different it sounds like she is good with her Gross motor skills, but what about her fine motor skills?

like picking up really small items or putting blocks in a tower, or putting items through a hole.

My daughter was exactly the same way. She walked very well at 7 months. It looked funny cause she was so tiny. My son is a different story. He's almost 10 months and he just learned how to stand. Every baby is different.

Im jealous!! My son thinks he can walk or stand on his own and he just topples over!
