Ok so Carson will drink milk from a bottle and juice from a cup but not hilk from a cup. I hate our bottle and would love to make the switch. How do I talk him into it? I've tried offering it over and over and even tried making it chocolate milk . He just makes a face and tells me bad or no as he throws the cup.

Well, my son never took a bottle, so he has been drinking from a cup for months now. So I can't really give the best advice . . . BUT Avent has what they call a "training" cup-- it is a sippy-cup type top you put on an actual bottle. I read a lot of positive reviews of it as a transition between a full-blown sippy cup and a bottle.

I had to add strawberry syrup to my son's milk cup. At first he wasn't very happy about it, but he finally got thirsty enough that he eventually drank from the cup. Now he drinks milk from his cup & I've limited the amount of syrup I put in the cup

Thanks everyone for the advise. Someone at work told me today that she bought sippy cups that have the nipplish top. I have to find those and try it. I thought I would pass it along.

I'll try it. He drinks it(most of the time) if I mix a yogurt with it(4oz yogurt & 4oz milk) and call it a shake. The dr told me yesterday that most don't start to do it until 15-18 months so maybe I'm rushing it. I just can't wait to be done with bottles!!!!!

Try the milk at room temprature when you put it in the sippy cup. I realized that if I put cold milk in her cup she would not drink it. I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and she took to it alot better.

Ugg it is so fristrating! He has also figured out how to make the bottles leak everywhere and thinks it is VERY funny. So now I can't even hand him a bottle because he just pours it out, we have to sit and feed it to him. Although he never really did want to hold his own bottle, but that is another issue. Someone please help!!!!!
