Leaky diapers--HELP

I have the same problem with my son. He was leaking thru Pampers and Huggies. I switched to Huggies overnights and they seem to work. I asked the doctor about that a while ago when  we were constantly leaking and she said (sorry to get graphic) to point his penis down into the diaper before closing it. That caused him to pee into the bottom of the diaper instead of out the top. I don't know if this will help you but this is what I have done and has helped me keep my little guy dry.

I agree with make sure his penis is pointed down, sounds dumb but it makes a huge difference. Also I think Pampers aren't the best for boys. I have been using huggies and they seem to hold more. Also what about putting on a diaper, then a swimmers? I know it sounds odd but that way if he gets the first full the swimmer will hold the rest. The reason I suggest a swimmer is they don't have tabs they are just a pull up style. Just a thought i haven't tried it but we haven't been going through diapers more then once here adn there. Let us know what works. :)

I use the Kirkland diapers from Cosco,  I had the same problem with my son.  In 8 months, hes maybe had 2 wet diapers!  Thats great!

I use cloth on my daughter at night, Bum Genius 3.0's and she has never had leak. I put in both inserts that it came with and she wears them for 12 hrs. The inserts are soaking wet and the part of the diaper that is touching her bum is completely dry.

A friend told me to put 2 diapers on at night so that when one leaks it goes into the other. I've never tried it though.

Defintely will try the folding idea! Thanks so much--And I was curious about those Pampers super absorbency. I think I am going to try those next since I almost out of the Huggies overnights anyway! Thanks all for the responses.

We too just ran into this problem.  My son was wetting through diapers durring naps and although the dipers were soaked there was really no reason to leak durring a nap.  He also sleeps 11 hours at night so it was happing at night too.  What we found out was that it wasn't the pee causing problems, it was his big belly.  We bought the size four cruisers (baby dry works too) for night and we fold down the front of the diaper into the inside.  That way it doesn't wick out the top.    Hope that helps!

I had this problem for a bit, even with the Pampers Cruisers.  I did find Pampers cruisers with Ultra Absorbency.  They are supposed to hold 12 hours of liquid.  It worked wonders for me and my little guy.  He was constantly getting up b/c of leaks. He pees as quickly as he drinks. It's done wonders to get him to sleep through the night.  Good luck!

You might already know this but do you point his penis down? That seems to help alot when you have a boy, my sis told me that and it weorks wonders, you could try the parents choice wal,art brand, I find that huggies work for me, but a friend of mind went to Parents choice and she said they were great, no leaking issues, maybe uy the huggies overnights in a 4, just cinch then really tight, as long as you can get them to fit snuggly to his body they may work....
