Everyday when my husband and I are getting our son up in the morning to go to daycare he throws are horrible fit. The routine we are in has been the same for about a year.We have tried several things such as going to bed early, etc. Any suggestions or anyone dealing with same issue?

maybe a problem at daycare? has something happened? might be worth asking the teachers.

Thanks for the replies. I have discussed this with our daycare director and found out that the teacher I have to leave him with for an hour in morning might be the issue. She is normally with 2 year olds and isn't comfortable with the others so there isn't much interaction. He is now going to be left with another teacher until the other teacher is trained with all kiddos.

I would definitely check into the daycare thing- my daughter kept throwing fits and not wanting to go to preschool last fall, and when we had a parent-teacher conference, the teachers said that she didn't really fit into their class well (and it didn't seem like they cared to make it better for her) so we switched preschools and she has been MUCH happier at the new preschool. :)

Although, I will say she has been throwing fits at transition times a lot more recently than she used to. Mostly before bedtime, or when we have to leave somewhere that she was having fun at. So we're in the same boat, in a way. We just try to talk to her once she's calmed down and explain to her that it hurts our feelings when she throws fits like that, and that if she's sad or mad about something she should use her words. She's been trying to do better with the fit-throwing, but I think part of it is that she's just an emotional almost-4 year old and it's part of growing up. Hope that helps some!

Mandy- There was an issue with a teacher in December who was not giving guidance in class and was treating some of the other kids not very good. She has since then been terminated. I didn't think this would still be an issue but your input has started the wheels turning with that. Thanks for input. I really appreciate it. I was beginning to think my husband and I are parenting him wrong or if something was lacking but I cannot figure anything out.
