My daughter is 10 1/2 mths and has no interest in any table foods....is this okay? My dr says she should be on 100% table food by her 1st bday. That's quickly approaching! Although, what's the hurry, really?

Have you tried offering her cheerios? They are very healthy and easly for babies to eat. I would put some on her tray even if she doesn't eat it. You want her to get used to feeding herslef.

My little girl is 10months and one week. I have just started like yesterday giving her a bit of table food. I would feed her her baby food while I ate. Then when she is done with the baby food i was giving her Cherios. Now i am giving her bits of soft things we are eating. She thought mashed potatoes were interesting till she slighly gaged on a small lump. She was fine. She was a bit more careful after that. I have three kids only one is a picky eater and i did the same thing. The next few months i will give her more and more table food. by one year they are still usually getting a bit of lumpy baby food. That too will go away eventually as i see they have enough teeth and feel comfortable they are able to eat well enough from the table. It is really based on what you are comfortable with and how they seem to be eating. My first was eating baby food for a long time past his first birthday. But by 1 1/2 he was eating from the table. He had a really bad gag reflex. But the other two were eating pretty much all from the table just after there first birthday.

My 10.5 month old is on a table-food hunger strike these days.  He once loved solids and ate everything, and for the past couple of weeks - almost nothing.  He still loves to nurse, but he's gagging and spitting out everything solid.  I think it is just a phase that will pass. I make food available to him often and give him lots of choices.  It is his decision how much or little to eat, I guess.  It is one of the few things he can control.  I hope he grows out if it soon, though.

I believe the pediatrician says they should be on table food by 1yr because that is where the main nutrition is suppose to come from since you should be switching from formula/breast milk to cows milk.  Some believe if you wait to long to introduce solid foods the more picky eaters they become.  I would try to offer solid foods along with baby food like putting some on her tray while you are feeding her and maybe she'll get used to the idea???  At first I started giving my daughter little pieces of cooked carrots or pasta anything soft really and she eventually preferred to eat the solid food over the baby food.  Hope this helped....
