Hi, my 19 month used to be a really great sleeper, right from the beginning he would sleep and from 3 months he was sleeping right through. How thing have changed, he wont sleep. I have tried controlled crying which works for a while and then I'm back to square one again. Any suggestions on how I can get him to sleep right through would be most appreciated.

My daughter is on and off with this as well. She is 19 months old and sometimes just does not sleep through the night. She was sleeping through the night at 2 months old and up until just recently she's been doing great with it. What I have done to make things a bit easier is instead of her 2 naps during the day which she used to get, she now only gets one. This way she is much more tired and sleeps better at night. Also, check for molars coming in, molars cause so much more pain then the front teeth do. Teething rings, wet cloths [for them to chew on] and numbing oils are very helpful during this time. If they get really bad, I usually give my daughter a half a dose of infants motrin or tylenol and the pain goes away and she is able to sleep peacefully once again.
