My son is almost 7 months old and weighs 10.2kg or 22Ibs 4oz. My parents keep telling me that he is over weight and i need to stop feeding him so much. He is formula fed and has 4 bottles a day and also between 3 and 4 solids feeds (about 3-4 tablespoons at a time.) I have heard that you can't over feed a baby so i am just wondering?

My daughter doc just told me that she weights to much today she is 4months and 2weeks old. and 16.2 and 24inches? she is a BF baby and may have 2 bottles a day with forumla with (2oz each ) with a scoop of rice Cer. any ideas?????

I believe babies can be overweight but i also beleive that babies should be a little chubby skinny babies do not look healthy some people think that my son is fat but his doctor said he is perfect on his curve with his hieght and weight so I just tell them to shut up. he is 23 lbs now and he was born april 15th at 9lb 6oz so do not get discouraged and just tell them to leave you alone only worry if your baby's doctor says something

yes my baby girl is 7 months and almost 22 lbs, but she is the happiest baby i know. she does tell us when she is not interested in eating, and i agree that when they start crawling, they will lose some of their weight.

my son is even bigger and he is breastfed and only eats a few mouthfuls of baby food a day. he is 24 lbs and he is perfectly healthy dont let them get to you big babies arent as common anymore but they are healthy big! as my son started crawling he has gotten less chubby tho his weight is same.
dont worry he sounds just fine!

my baby is exactly the same age and weight and i get told the same thing all the time, its so frustrating because I am a very good mum with a extreamly happy baby.
I agree once they start moving around it will drop of them very quickly so dont feel guilty as I used to, every baby is different and as long as there happy who cares what people think!

I agree with Anne-marie. It's hard to over feed a baby coz they usually will refuse any more or are simply not interested. You feed what you think is right and it's true, that once your little one becomes more mobile, then the weight will slip off! My lil boy Cody is big for his height and weight but hes down to only 3 bottles a day and 2 solid feeds and he finds that enough!!

all babies are different. once he is crawling around he will soon lose it. just carry on with wot u are doing.
