My daughter was pulling herself up from about 7 months and has taken her first steps yesterday (she was holding on to her walker seat and as it moved she kept following it and holding on). Today she's happy to have people hold her hands and she's almost pulling them. BUT she hasn't crawled. All babies are definitely different!

Both our kids were early birds! Aubriella (now 3) crawled at 6 months and took her 1st steps at 8 months, walking on her own by 9 months. Brayden (8 months) crawled a week or two before he turned 6 months and has been standing with support for quite awhile now. He cruises on furniture as well. I was super excited when our 1st born did all this stuff early, however I was hoping our son would wait! I don't want our baby to grow up! Plus he's always getting into his big sister's stuff :-)

well every child is different and learn at different rates. I think is great that she's doing it already. if she is doing it is because she is ready to take on that new skill. most babies don't start doing it until they're around 9 months but you should be proud :)

this is almost the exact question i just posted. i also have a 5 year old who didn't do things as early as my baby has. but once my mum said to me that the first child is always slower because it doesn't have an older sibling to learn from. which i can now see might be true.
My baby will be 8 months on the 9th of dec and she has been crawling for almost a month, she;s been sitting up by herself for the last two weeks and as soon as she could sit up she has been pulling herself up to standing, and staying there for ages. she takes kinda step things but not sure if she is unsteddy or trying to walk.
my baby was born only two weeks early but was small due to pre eclampsia. she was 5lb 2oz. she is due for weighing so i'm not too sure what she is at the moment.

my 7 month old daughter is crawling to she has started pulling her self up yet but my second child he was walking at 9 and half months the second normally moves a lot quicker along

My son is 7.5 months and has been trying sooo hard to crawl for the last month! He just can't figure out how to move his arms forward and he gets so frustrated lol!! He is also starting to pull himself up on things but can't quite make it to standing yet but i don't think it will be too long. Every baby is different but they do say girls are faster then boys.

David just started crawling about 2 weeks ago, and is already walking along the furniture. Im hoping for him to be walking by Christmas also! Congrats!

thank you all yes she is very energetic and is constantly learning something new she is crawling all over the place , pulling up to everything and standing for a long time, i believe she may just walk before christmas:) it seems like only yesterday she was a little 5 pd baby wow

the old saying IS true... girls mature faster than boys! haha. my son is 7.5 months old and is just now being able to sit up on his own, much less crawl or walk. and, yes, every baby is different. i wouldn't be worried that she is able to do this already... it would be worrisome if she was behind on development, not ahead. she must just be energetic and ready to learn!

I wouldnt worry if i were you, my friends baby girl is 7 months old now and she was born 3 weeks early , she is also pulling herself up against things and she is standing holding on to the couch, and she start doing this at 5 months, so just shows you that baby's born before their time , does everything before their time....my baby boy Joshua is now 7 months and he is not near crawling yet or standing up yet, but then again he was lazy to come out, i went over 40weeks and he was still not ready!!!

My daughter is 7 1/2 and she started crawling at 6 1/2 and standind at 7 months she is just learning to walk along the furniture to. my son was the same as yours not till later i was supprised when my girl started crawling and standing, they do say girls develope quicker then boys, but it is still each to there own.

but yes i do believe it is early, lol i wasnt ready

all babies are different, this is definitely early but good for her!
