my 11 month old daughter has a gunky itchy eye, does anyone have a home remedy as the doctors isnt open til morning? I dont breast feed so i cant do the breast milk!

my bubba had gunky eyes for ages when she was born, a little old lady told me to use luke warm tea!! It worked for me dont know if it was coincidental or not??

this is most likey pink eye (conjunctivitis) there really is no home remedy other than wiping the gunk away, and maybe a cool compress. the doctor will prescripe some eye ointment or drops, and it will clear up within a day or two. If she is in daycare, she will not be able to go until she has been on the antibiotic for 24 hours.
