has anyone elses child come out of a bedtime routine?

it feels so good to know im not the only one this happeneing to i thought i was doing something wrong... My baby boy is having 1 nap a day and goes to bed bout 8 then wakes up bout 4 and there is nothing i can do to get him back to sleep... I think its because he can pull himself up on the side of his cot and fully wakes himself up so he is no longer tired.. does anyone else put them in bed with you? i have been doing that and its the only thing that gets him back to sleep i hope i am doing the write thing :{

My daughter is 9 months old (born april 12th 09) and has taken herself out of her bedtime routine :( it is awful !! she was in a routine from coming out of hospital at a week old, going to bed at 8 or 8.30... and took herself out of her routine at about 6 months old... it was getting better, for all of a bout 3 days.. but over the past 2 days.. she has gone to bed at 8.. and is wide awake by 10, not going to sleep until 2 or the in the morning (no matter what i try). she still wakes up during the night 2 or 3 times.. and then is always up at 8am no matter what.. so as you can imagine... im very tierd !!! lets just hope... they sort themselves out !!

My daughter is 9months old (born on 8th April 09) and her routine for the last couple of weeks has not been that great either since she learnt to crawl, but dont panic mums! as a few people including my health vistor told me that around this age is when a babies brain becomes over stimulated with development and discovering, as this is the age where some babies learn to crawl, stand up and even walk! the waking up in the night or not being able to settle for bed does pass and babies get back into there usual routine. I hope this helps x

my 8 month old was sleeping thru the night since she was 3 months old....goes to bed around 8 and didn't wake up until 6am!! now that she is teething, she still goes to bed at the same time but wakes up during the night about 2 times.....it's exhausting and i hope the change is because she is teething!!!
I would try keeping him busy throughout the day and maybe cutback on a nap or two so he is exhausted at night - good luck!!

You are not alone. My daughter is 8 months (Born on April 29th) and since she came home from the hospital she has been a good sleeper. She slept all night until now. She is teething so I am guessing thats the reason she wakes up in the middle of the night. It is fustrating because she gets very cranky during the day and at night she gets very cranky to go to sleep. Hopefully her teeth can come out and she can go back to sleeping all night.

Yay, I am not alone! I know, it's not really funny. My son used to sleep through the night, going to bed between 8 and 8:30. Now he doesnt go to bed until ten some nights. He just wants to play or is cranky! Im not sure the solution. Trying to keep him more stimulated during the day and cut his afternoon nap a little short. Hard to tell, i am hoping this is a phase that he will grow out of. Love him to peices, but it's tiring. Good luck
