How many other April babies are starting to walk already?

My son was born on April 9th and he's already starting to walk on his own. He's been up and walking about holding on to things since he was about 7 'n a half months, closer to 8mths. Now on Monday (Jan. 4, 2010) he took his first 2 steps on his own. OMG was I excited to see him look soo proud of himself and his accomplishment. It was too cute and when he fell he just laughed and jumped up and down with pride. On Tuesday (Jan. 5th) he took 2 more steps on his own but then tried to run and of course lost his balance. Once again another exciting moment for us. Later that night he 2nd tooth came through so that added more excitement to his developments and accomplishments. Today (Wednesday Jan 6th) he walked around the whole living room pushing his Tonka Truck on his own. He would pause and look a bit insecure about it but then kept on moving. I'm convinced that he'll be walking on his own before Feb.

Anyone else's baby(ies) walking already or in the starting phase like my son?? This is soo exciting. I'm soo proud of my little man :-)

Eric took his 1st step on Jan 15 and 6 the next day . He is consistently able to take 15 steps as long as he doesn't get distracted or too excited! He uas5 teeth and he is 25 lbs he is trying to say aboit 5 different words but it sounds really bad so far! I hope he perfects this walking soon cuz he gets so mad when he falls! He was born on 4/7/09

Audrey was born on April 4th and took her first step New Year's Eve! I was hoping she'd try on Christmas Eve because her brother took his first steps on Christmas Eve. He was 14 months old though. LOL! She took two more steps a few nights ago but that's it.

Jaelyn was born on the 22nd and she started walking behind her walker toy two weeks ago. She started pulling herself up to the coffee table and couch since she was 7 months. I think she will be solo stepping soon. She stands all by herself but when she wants to go anywhere she plops down and crawls. I will keep encouraging her.

My son was born on the third of April. He just started to pull up to a standing position this week, and is walking around the couch. He is also doing the bear crawl (on hands and feet). Granted he don't make it very far before losing his balance he is proud of himself when he dose this and yes it's very cute to see him so excited.

Oh yes this little one has also ventured up the steps at his grandparents. He went up soo fast it was ridiculous. His father and I were watching him closely, each time we told him no he just went faster until me made it all the way up the steps. So now they're on their toes with him since he runs things over there anyways lol. I've noticed that steps with carpet are easier for a baby to climb up, then steps with nothing on it. Here at home he has a bit of a problem with the steps since there's no carpet on it. I'm kindda glad that we don't know that he's climbing up the steps like a champ. He's also taught himself how to step down from the steps. He is not afraid of anything BUT a vaccuum lol. This little dare devil has jumpped off the bed, people's arms, and now steps like it's nothing. Besides climbing up the steps he's also trying to climb out of his crib, playpen, tries to climb the gates, onto the couch, and up your legs. He's EVERYWHERE! His balance is getting better so now all of a sudden he seriously thinks he can run but he still can't take no more then 3 steps on his own. He is too much, soo silly I just love it.

My son was born on April 7th and he is up walking while holding on to things. He recently has learned how to crawl up stairs though so we have been on our toes with keeping him away from our stairs. But yeah....I was so excited Christmas day when he got up and started walking while holding on to his push cart!! I was right there with the camera to videotape it. :)

My little girl was born April 23rd and she's just like your son!! She took her first step Dec 27 to my mom and has done a step or 2 a day since then...Sunday she took 3 steps to me! She's been walking holding on to things for at least a month and I'm sure she'll be walking alone soon. It's the cutest thing - and she's so proud of herself. She started climbing the stairs all by herself before Xmas (we have to keep an eye on her...she is not afraid of anything!!) and has taught herself how to step down from stairs backwards!

Congratulations!!! My son was born 4-7-09 and is VERY close to taking his first solo steps. I can't wait; I know it will be any day. When he stands he lets go and you can see him thinking about how far away he is from his next support system. He'll carefully lean and then either decide to keep playing at his standing activity station or go down to his knees. He also just started to bop and sway to music while sitting or standing -- I love it!!

Maddux who was born on 4-5-09 is very close to walking also. He has been standing for about 2 months. He can walk behind his push lion, and stand in one spot without hanging on for about a min. He just looks at us and laughs and sakes his head and puts his hands up in he air! To cute. On the other hand my first child didn't walk till about 1 year 1 month. All so different. Which is pretty neat I think!

The dancing has ALREADY started in this house hold. Everytime he hears music he stops whatever he's doing and start jumping and moving side to side. It's soo funny and cute, then as soon as the music stops he goes right back to what he was doing before lol.

It's soo cute how excited babies get when they take stand on their own and take just a few steps. He now weighs 21lbs and 12oz, he's 29.3in long and is greedy lol. Very active so he's definitely not giving up on controlling his balance so that he can walk on his own lol

Definitely! Today she took a couple steps with a push-toy she got for Christmas...that was a first! After about two feet she was next to the couch and decided to just stand there and pull at my afghan instead, lol.

My daughter (Kaja) was born April 17th and she's getting close to walking, too. She's been crawling and pulling herself up to stand for two months already, and if you hold her (lightly) by the hands she'll take off down the hall, sometimes at almost a run! My mom just bought her her first pair of Stride Rite shoes, they are so cute and they seem to help her with balance and walking, too. Sometimes she can stand for a couple seconds on her own before she falls. Kaja is so proud of herself, too, you can just tell!
