Last month I complained to my daycare center's director regarding an employee who had recurring episodes of decided inaction. The event that lead me to complain was when I noticed the outlets immediately behind my son's crib had no outlet covers. I brought this to her attention and she said "oh sometimes the cleaning guy takes them out" and continued on. (my son was the only child there at this point) I then asked her to replace them... she fumbled for a bit, couldn't find any and just removed them from another outlet as her "solution." The director asked for a follow up meeting with both my husband and I in attendance, but as our schedules are quite full with work and school I asked the reason he wanted to meet (the meeting at which I complained was disorganized and I didn't want to waste my time) he never answered then sent an email last night telling me that my son's daycare will be terminated as of December 17th because we do not have confidence with one of their team. I am livid and have no idea what to do... Most centers around here run according to the school schedule and have no openings until June. my next semester starts mid January... HELP!

My husband and I filed a complaint with the state. They are actually really concerned about other issues that I didn't even know were against the policy. so I hope they get in trouble and no one gets hurt!

hi i just read your post and i dont know what to say for them to do that and remove your soon form nursery is not right, have you put a complaint in writing to the companies head office I know you possible dont want your little one goign back there now, but you need to go over the nursery managers head and to there head office, or is the director the head office. where do you live, is it in the uk, if so you can report it to ofstead and see what they say, they have to give you so much notice and a clear reason why they are doing this, and if you have a good enough reason and i think you do ofstead will look in to it, i know it may be to late now to get childcare, is there a family service unit that can give you numbers of childminders or other places that have space, this is how it works where I am, if amember of staff give you reason concern you have the right to complain and it be looked in to, maybe your son is better off not being there, as the way they have acted is worrying, try to call your local childcare regulators,(sorry about my spelling im dysleic,) but as nursery nurse i feel they way they have acted is very bad, i do hope you can get something sorted before mid Jan,
