So, My sons birthday is April 21st. He just went to his 9 month well check up yesterday. He weights 24lbs and is 29.5 inches long. 85% for both. He isn't crawling yet, but is trying to. He isnt able to sit up on his own, but it is getting better and he isn't babbling like he should be. He makes mostly noises and one sound like "da". But it isnt combined with two sounds like "da-da". So he is going to Childrens hospital to get an assessment for gross motor, fine motor and cognitive. Does anyone else have any issues like this? I'm worried but at the same time he is laughing and crying like an average baby. Advice??

Hi there at last i have found some one who seems to have similar worries let me start by hope you got some good news on your little boy, i have a june 09 little boy who is 20 mths old, starting from when he was a small baba he rolled over quite on time, he didnt learn how to move around in his cot untill he was 10 mths, he crawled at 11mths, he 1st pulled him self up at nearly 14 mths, he is now 20 mths and is only starting to try sit unaided but finding it quite hard as his lill legs are quite stiff he has pretty poor balance which results in many bangs to the head :( he also has quite poor grip ! he has been attending physio for 11mths now but we are still none the wiser ands its getting quite frustrating at this point but on the up side he is babbling and laughing like any other normal healthy little boy :) i would be very grateful if you have any advice or how did your little guy get on with his assesment ?

I dont have any advice for you, but would like to wish you luck with his assessment!! Im sure everything will be fine!!

Babies develop at different rates, this may be his normal development!

Good Luck!!
