My daughter will be 18 months soon and she refuses to let go of her pacifier. She only really wants it when she's sleeping and I've weaned her off it except for at night. What should I do??? The doctor says it's fine until she's two but she's had most of her teeth before she was even a year and got the rest when she was 13 months old. Plus she's getting too big for it. Any ideas??

My older daughter didn't get off hers until after 2 and it was difficult. We ended up just quitting cold turkey. She cried a few times but within a week was over it.

my daughter has never used a pacifier, but she breastfeeds and im trieing to wein. i suggest getting her hooked on something else, for example....taggy blankets

there soft, cute, comforting, and she can chew on the tags.

I was a little hard for my son to get off of it but by the time he was 14 months he was off. I just let him get really tired and held him. He cried but he realized he wanted to sleep more than he wanted the pacifier. Just let her get really tired by running around after a few days she wont even miss it
