I am 27 weeks and expecting a baby boy.  I have a 4-year-old daughter.  Most of the movements I feel are also really low although I have started to feel them higher upabove my belly buttom area and on the right side. Just a few weeks ago my daughter and my husband were able to feel the baby for themselves for the first time.  This is a very active baby compared to my daughter.  He moves most of the day but is most active in the evenings.  If you want your significant other to feel your baby move try laying down on your left side and see what happens.  This is the position mine is the most active in when I can actually see my belly move from his movements.

hey all! i am 29 weeks pregnant today with our first. don't know what we are having. my baby is really active. i felt it move for the 1st time at about 14 weeks and put in some proper kicks at about 19 weeks. it actually kicked the ultrasound thingamajiggy off at my 20 week scan. little rascal! i wish all my kicks were a bit lower. my bub seems to be wriggling more than kicking these days, cause it running outta room. and all movements seem to be right up under my ribcage. but at the last ultrasound they said i am either a week ahead of what they thought (i'm not) or i am having a big bubba, which is highly likely considering that my partners family are all ovre 6 foot... including his sis!!! OUCH... this is gonna hurt!

I know exactly what you mean... during the day all the movements are low and 'bubbling' and you cant really ask your friends to put their hands down there!

I find the best time for someone else to feel the movements is first thing in the morning - my alarm goes off and my boyfriend puts his back to my tummy and feels loads of movement.

You could say he's getting a kick start to his day!

Well I think a lot of it has to do with space, too. As the baby gets bigger it starts to fill the upper part of the uterus and stretch out that way-it's just probably tighter down "there" and so you can feel it more. But I am 26 weeks and feel most of them low, with a couple here and there above and around the navel. As long as you feel her kick, that's the great thing! Congrats!

Hey Maggie!

I am 25 weeks pregnant! I am having a boy! I am going through the same thing that you are. He is sitting very low and at the back. I feel him kicking all day long, but it is really hard to share it with others! When he kicks high I try and tell people to feel...but he shy's away and won't kick when they touch my belly! ha ha!

at 29 weeks the baby is starting go kick more where my husband or kids can feel, although it seems like everytime someone besides me puts their hand on my belly she stops kicking.  All i know is the kicks and movements are the best part of my pregnancy, i am sick all the time, i hate it is taking away from the joy of being pregnant

i'm the same too. was a little concern why she only kicked at the bottom but now more around the navel. perhaps she is more stronger n longer that she is able to move more - who knows? as long as she kicks, we love it!! :)

My wee ... cherub does the same thing! Also while I do get the occassional bump during the day, the serious ones that I can feel with my hand happen while I'm lying in bed at night. As I'm single there's no one in bed with me to feel it, which makes me really sad, coz I'd love to be able to share that. A couple of times I've picked up my cell phone to text my flatmate to see if she's still awake to come feel, but bubs only kicks about four or five times then stops for a few minutes so I don't want to get her out of bed for nothing! She's annoyed about it too, as she'd love to feel the kicks. I think next week I may just lay on the couch and 'fake' being in bed and see if we can trick baby into kicking. And if it kicks really low... we're good enough friends and we've been waiting long enough for others to be able to feel the kicks that she'll just have to put her hand wherever!!! I'm at mum's this weekend and was hoping she could feel, but of course baby's not kicking much. Little brat.  :)  Glad to know I'm not the only one!!

I am 25 weeks and my little one is still kicking pretty low most of the time. Every now and then, I'll get a good couple of bounces around my navel. Evenings and night time are the most active. I am excited though that my husband can finally share in the experience! This is our 2nd. Our first is a 19 month son. Congrats to you!

I am having kicks really low, but the doctor said that is due to the low lying placenta. I always am feeling the little one kick and can not share with many people either.
