My 2 1/2 year old will not fall asleep in his room by himself. He has always slept in his own room, but I have always been there near the crib and now sharing his twin bed for the last 6 months or so. I can not leave him in the room to cry it out because his other parent has to get up early for work. Usually I lay with him until he falls asleep and then I leave until he wakes during the night screaming for me. I have tried a night light which doesn't seem to help. Someone meantioned puttting a TV in his room. I don't know how I feel about this. Please send suggestions, I am sooo tired of sharing a twin bed with a toddler. Thanks ;)

Hi there jamie,

my son is actually 2 1/2 as well and to be honest, i still sleep with him.It seems that if I actually let him sleep and leave, he also wakes up during the night screaming for me. I'm not sure but I guess these are the stages that they still feel that they can't be separated from us. :) I've tried putting a TV in his room, but trust me, it didn't work out :) Maybe they'll just outgrow it huh? LOL
