I am at 26 weeks and was already in the hospital last night. I started having contractions at 2pm and they had them stopped by 8pm. I had my first daughter at 30 1/2 weeks and started labor with my second at 28 weeks but went to bed and on meds and held off until 37 weeks. I take Lovenox shots in my stomach every night and every Friday a nurse comes to the house to give a shot in my back to try to prevent pre-term labor. This time I'm having a boy and it will be our last pregnancy. This is the 9 pregnancy I've had and only have 2 children so far. Please pray for us that this goes okay.

I am so glad all is going well with you! Stay in bed and you will make it :)

As for me.. .I am home after 4 long weeks. I am still having some contractions, but my cervix measured the same as it did 4 weeks ago, so the doc released me. I am at home on bedrest. I am going to do as little as possible for the next 2-3 weeks. I am praying praying praying that all will be well.

I will keep you posted and please do the same.

Thanks Jen! I actually live in Chicago :)

Thank you for the prayers!! I can use them. The docs say I can go home Saturday if I am not dilated more. I am praying and hoping this is the case. If I have to stay, I will do whatever it takes to keep this baby inside longer. The scary part is that they gave me bathroom privledges. Before today, I have not gotten up in about 4 weeks. They need me to be prepared in order to go home, but I am so afraid of going into labor because I am up and moving, ya know? I have braxton hicks most of the day, maybe 16 a day. Plus about 5 contractions everday as well. I have been doing this since before I was bedridden in this hospital.

Thank you for telling me about your daughter. She sounds brilliant and that helps ease my mind.

I do not know what we are having, but my husband and mom have an idea. I allowed the ultrasound tech to give them a picture of the gender. They have not slipped and I'm praying and hoping that I do not find out for a few more weeks.

We are neighbors. Illinois:)

Good luck,

Selena

I am so sorry and I have been praying for you and so has my family. I have been taking the progesterone injections since 16 weeks and also started the Procardia(20mg) ever 6 hours last week. I hate the way they make me feel though. I didn't do any of this with Lexi(12) but I did do all of this with Lani(1). I'm still taking the Lovenox shots in my stomach every night too. I feel like a pin cushion!

Are you still having contractions? I have a had a few on and off in the last few days but not much since they put me on bedrest and started the pills. I take the injections of progesterone until around 34 weeks. I think that's as long as they will give them.

Lexi is my daughter that was born at 30 1/2 weeks. She is 12 years old now and involved in cheerleading, tennis, AAU volleyball, gymnastics, a traveling show choir group, and Math Bowl. She makes Pass Plus on all of her ISTEP scores(state tests) and always has. She is in the top 3 in her class. She does wear glasses when she reads but so do I and her father. She was in the NICU for 7 weeks. It was the hardest thing I have ever went through. Luckly I didn't have any other children at the time and spent every moment in the NICU with her. Her lungs just weren't devolped fully. She would stop breathing a lot. We brought her home with an oxygen tank, apria monitor, and another monitor. We also had to go through training to bring her home. At 6 months all the monitors came off!! The lowest weight for her was 3lbs 13oz. She was really little. She is still kind of small for her age but her father is short. : ) She did have a lot of colds and sinus problem for the first 2 years but then she just kind of grew out of it. She is a normal kid. I hope that eases your mind a little.

You have been on my mind and I hope you will keep me updated on how you are doing. I'm sure you miss your children very much! My guess is that's the hardest part. Do you know what you are having? I'm having a boy. Where are you from? I'm in Indiana.

Take is easy and I'm praying for you.

Lori

Hi Lori,

I am still in the hospital. I am 31w4d today. I have been here sine the 10th on complete bedrest. I take Procardia ever 6 hours and progesterone injections once a week. I failed my glucose test and have gestational diabetes for the first time as well. I received the steroid shots back at the 28 week mark.

I had an ultrasound today and baby looks great. Now we need the contractions to go away!!

I miss my kids so much. They visit often, but this is so hard. My kids are 10, 6, 3 and 1.

Thank you and take care of yourself. Keep me posted on you. You are in my prayers.

Selena,

You have been in the hospital for 3 weeks? How are you doing now? What are they doing for you? I'm trying to make it to 37 weeks. I'm 27 1/2 now and am taking meds every 6 hours to stop contractions. I'm also on bedrest now. They gave me two rounds of steroids on Tuesday night and Wed. morning to help the babies lungs develop sooner. I have a 14 month old at home and I don't want to have to be put in the hospital. Please let me know how you are doing. I'll be praying for you and your husband, and baby.

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. I am due 4/4 and am 31w1d today. This is my 6th pregnancy and I have 3 children at home plus my stepson, so baby will make 5. I have preterm labor issues as well. I started bedrest at 24 weeks at home and have been in the hospital since the 10th (28 weeks) after a bad  episode of contractions. I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep me updated on your situation.
