My son Kevryck has had 8 teeth since he was 9months & now since his birthday April 13th, is cutting his left upper & left lower molars. Apparently he won't be getting his canines for awhile after those come in? All the boys in our family get their teeth early, but no one in my family has cut molars at 12months.

My son is 13 mos and he's been teething (aka drool factory and chewing on his fingers) for over a month now but no sign of teeth. Well I just had his 12 month well baby checkup this week (yeah, I know, really late!) and she was able to see his molars coming in. He only has 8 teeth (4 uppers, 4 lowers) and no canines. THe doc said that it's normal for the molars to come before canines.

My daughter just started getting her molars a few weeks ago. She turned 1 on April 2nd. She does not seem to be bothered by it at all.

my daughter has 13 teeth. She got her first molar on her birthday which was April 22. She has 3 of her molars and her two bottom canines. She has all of her teeth on the bottom except the last two molars so I think she will get her upper ones soon. They are all bulging to its only a matter of time.

The first set of molars isn't the 2 year molars. They will get another set around 2 years to make it a total of 20 teeth around when they are 2. My daughter has all of her first set of molars and is working on her canines right now and she is 13 months. I am hoping we will have a bit of a break before the 2 year molars

Our son has been cutting his molars this last week. He is miserable with a low grade fever. It's so frustrating because it makes him so uncomfortable. Has anyone else been through this before? I'm wondering how long it will take the pain and fever to go away?

Your son is perfectly normal... My boy was one on the 11th April, got his first tooth at 3.5 months and now has 13 teeth, 5 of which are molars... 3 of them came up in one week! He is so different from my daughter who at this age had just the front 8. Molars are generally pretty horrible and can "rumble" for ages before cutting through. There are some fantastic homeopathic teething powders available and though I doubted they would work, they really do seem to make a difference. Good luck and I hope they don't bother him too much :)

My son was born April 2009 and he has all 4 of his molars in already and now has one of his canines coming in. His molars bothered him but this canine coming in is really killing him. He got his first molar in at about 11 months old, and they came in one right after another. The last molar just popped through a couple of weeks ago and now the canine is coming through next. We haven't had any teething breaks since he got his first tooth at 5 months.

My son, April 10 b-day, has been a bear with every tooth that has come in! He too is getting molars. He drools, chews, bites, all the good stuff and is cranky all the time. I can feel the molars when I do the finger brushing of his teeth...which will be 12 in all when these last two molars come in. Cold foods seem to soothe his aches, tylenol helps him sleep and if he had his way, he'd eat all things wood, LOL. I will be soooo relieved when all his teeth are finally in!!!

Every baby is different. Landon has 12 teeth at the moment and two more coming in. He hasnt been too bad while cutting his 4 molars. I did notice him chewing and biting on stuff the time that he was cutting them and he loves to chew on ice cubes. He started cutting teeth about 4 weeks old and has had two come in a time. I think he is getting his second set of molars now because he is back to biting and chewing on stuff (mostly his fingers.)
If your wondering if your son or daugther is cutting their molars stick your finger in their mouth and rub the gums where the molars should be. If their gums have a bump or a rough spot they are getting their molars. Landon is my third son and they have all cut teeth at different times. Now my husband is talking about trying for a girl since between the two of us we have five boys. But I am afraid if I do get pregnent again it would end up being another boy. Any suggestions?

My daughter had 8 teeth by 8 months. She is 12.5 months now and last week she had 3 molars, and 3 canines come through. There is still one more molar and canine working it's way up for any day. She is s a trooper though! Tempra and ambelsol seems to be helping control the pain for her.

My daughters birthday is the 10th of april and at that point she had 6 teeth. Within a week after she turned 1 she got three out of 4 of her 1st molars and last weekend just got the fourth. It's not shockingly early, every child is different and at first I thought it was too early but I prefer her to go through the pain now when she is little and not so much when she is older.

My son turned 1 on April 28, he cut top right molar on may 13 and bottom right molar on may 19, top left molar will probably cut through in the next few days. I don't remember his sister cutting them this early.

I found this on a parenting website I sometimes look at. I thought it could be helpful.

* First molars - between six and seven years
* Central incisors - between six and eight years
* Lateral incisors - between seven and eight years
* Canine teeth - between nine and 13 years
* Premolars - between nine and 13 years
* Second molars - between 11 and 13 years
* Third molars (wisdom teeth) - between 17 and 21 years

My early childhood nurse commented that there are 12 month molars. She could feel Archer's top ones coming through. This was 4 weeks ago. The molars still haven't actually cut but his poos have changed slightly and he has nappy rash again. Not sure if this is coincedental or not, his poos never really changed with the front eight.

I said Ian was getting a fang and his 2 bottom molars. I take that back I actually was able to look into his mouth really good and saw that he's getting in a top fang and all 4 molars, 2 of which are so ready to pop. He has had 8 since he was 7mo old and got his 1st top canine in last month and bites everything still. He got his bottom front 2 at barely 4mo old so we've been going through this for quite awhile.

My 13 mo is doing the same thing. He has the 8 front teeth and the second mollar has just cut through. The other side the area is very hard so I don't think it will be too long before the other molars come in as well. I don't use any drops or anything for the pain but I will let him such on a frozen wash cloth, or I give him freezies in a mesh feeder.

I actually forget when my other two boys (6 and 5) got their molars but I did think that the canines came through first.
Luke's friend Charlie, 20 mths, is just getting his molars too but no canines in sight!

Ian has been trying to cut his 2 bottom molars since he was 6mo but no dice they are still just barely covered by a tiny bit of clear gum. He has 9 teeth in and 1 upper fang and 2 bottom molars ready to pop any day now.

Yup - My son born April third just got his upper left molar - the upper left incisor is also coming in as well as the rest of the molars that I can see starting to push through but not yet cut through the gum line.... From what I have read - most babies get their molars between 10 and 16 months old - but that is just a general guideline...

My little guy has been teething for about as long as your baby girl... I do the same I keep motrin in him at night and give him tylenol during the day. If the pain and fussiness is to bad I will also give him teething tablets. He currently has eight teeth but I know he is working on his Molars, and yes they hurt. Poor babies, I hope they all get through the teething soon. Good luck ladies!!

they don't always come in the same order, blake's gums had big smooth round bumps on them where molar come in this was about a month before the tooth came through, two weeks before the tops turned bump as like the ridges of a tooth, a week before a sharpish point (still covered by gum) and white spots(like pressure points) he now has three molars and not far away will be the fourth, and my info off a rusk packet says they get 1st molars 12-18months, canines 18-24months and 2nd molars 24-30months. Blake was a bit earlish in getting his first tooth, bottom two at 5months and had 6 teeth for six months. Dont forget to brush their teeth twice a day, blake has started to help with this lol
