Any prem babies born in April 2009?

My son Alfie was born at 33 weeks on 12th April. He has been sitting up alone from about 7 months and he has just started to crawl. It seems to take him ages to grasp something but once he has done it once there is no stopping him. He also loves his food and i started him on solids at 4 months. He still has no teeth at all though. but has been dribbling and chewing for months now. He is actually a bit big for his age now and is in 9-12 and in some shops 12-18 clothes.

my son was born at 36weeks on 20th April..at 7months he was 17lbs and 63cm in length..he is small for his age (25percentile) but he is going into 12m+ clothing now!!..he can sit unaided..loves to bounce and is learning to crawl..he can go on all fours but then flops when he tries to go forward!!he also LOVES food..always has..he actually sucked me dry..they say its not possible but i had 2 stop breastfeeding at 3months cause i could NOT produce enough for him...he took 7 10oz bottles of expressed breastmilk a day!!..he has no oher complaints jut a little ezcema but nothing 2 worry about!

Both my children were born 4 weeks early. My daughter who is two in march was sitting by 3 months and crusing by 6 months. However my son who was born on the 11th april 2009 did not start sitting on his own until he was 6 months, he crawled at 7 and a half months and is now crusing. every baby is different, I learnt after woring bout my son that they all do things when they are good and ready. Both my children are still small though my daughter still wears 9-12m 12-18m clothes!

My twin boys were born on April 18th 2 months early. They were born at 3Ib 13 oz each and were in NICU for 6 weeks. However, they are not small lol Michael weighs 18 pounds and is in 75% and Tyler weighs 22 pounds and in 95%!! They are able to get up on all fours, but then just rock lol. Michael however will pull himself all over the place!! They both are in stage 2 baby food and snack on those baby biscuits. B ut don't worry about your childs developing, because you have to remember most preemies you have to go by their corrected age with would be 6 months right now! Your child is doing just fine!!! I delivered at 34 weeks. My son weighed 5lbs 6oz. So not quite as preemie as yours, but his arrival was definitely a surprise. His bitrthday is 4/19. He is actually doing quite well though. He is still small for his age we are in some 3-6 months but mostly 6 months clothing. He is sitting independently, crawling, and pulling up. He even wants to try to take a step but he gets scared. It did take a while for him to stop army crawling and actually get up onto his knees though.

I work at a daycare and one of the babies were going through physial therapy because she had gotten pnemonia when she was about 6 wks old( she is now about to turn 1). She had laid in her bed a lot and it slowed her learning of her motor skills. For crawling, the therapist would lay her on her stomach and bend her knees putting her hand on the bottom on her feet. The baby would then push/straighten her legs. This got her interested in moving around more independently.
