What ideas do you have for your baby's first christmas gift?

Our big gift is "supposed" to be an activity table--either the LeapFrog one or the Fisher-Price one. Both have reviews of being lightweight and unsturdy so we are undecided on that. Any input is appreciated!

Luckily I bought a "new" used one from a garge sale, I don't think I would of bought it new. However, my son has played with it quite a bit with it. He still plays with it, but not as much as anymore since he is now crawling and pulling himself up to stand. I have not put on the legs to make it a table since he's been standing, for the reason it's not so sturdy. Again, I bought it for almost new for $2, so I definitely think I got my money for it, I wouldn't spend $34-45 bucks for it. It happened to be on sale at Wal-Mart on Black Friday for only $19.

I got our little one a bunch of small toys like the rainforest & ocean wonders toys some are teether/rattlers but I figured since she just started grasping things and loves colors and things that make noises that would be the best thing for her.It all depends on what you feel is best for your child.

Both are great brands. There is a risk of injury with most toys regardless of the style...even teddy bears...best thing is just to be present so you can prevent them or kiss better

We are saving the big toy purchases for the Grandparents and her uncles and aunties and we are getting Akira a solid gold bracelet and having it engraved. I thought it would be nice to have something from us that she can keep and treasure for her 1st Christmas

cj's "big pressie" is a v-tech sit to stand dancing tower. she has had that already tho as we live in germany and are going bck to uk for xmas so meant i would of had to wrap it to take it there to bring it back so she has it already and she LOVES it!!! is great if baby doesn't sit up yet as she hold onto the handles to hold herself up. Also has a microphone on it for herto gargle and gurgle and scream into lol. Just going to get her a few small pressies to open xmas day. I worked in a nursery where they had them tables and on carpet i do have to say they are not the best. legs used to come off alot. And the older kids used to tip it over alot. hope helped xxxx
