We have a great circle of friends and family close by, so we're having an afternoon party for everyone to celebrate at our house. I'll make lots of finger food, themeing everything in blue and green. It should be a great day. Then my husband and I, and probably my parents will take my son for his first trip to the zoo. I thought that would also be a nice little memory for his 1st birthday! (zoo the following weekend, not the same day!)

We are doing a Hello Kitty theme! Her whole room is in Hello kitty, as well as her toys and clothes! lol We are going to have face painting, a bubble station, a tent/tunnel set up for the bigger kids and a little ball pit for the smaller ones. We had to rent the hall down the street from our house cause there turned out to be way more people then we originally thought!

I booked ELmo to come and visit. Bethanny's birthday is also on Easter this year so I'm hoping she won't be too worn out. I figure Easter celebration in the morning then in the afternoon, Her party. She loves Elmo so I hope she will be fine with a BIG version :) She loved Santa and the Grinch at Christmas but she was fearless back then. LOL

Our theme is balloons & cupcakes with primary colors. With our first son his 1st birthday was an Elmo theme and I am just over the character themes - especially for 1-year olds - they could care less! I ordered matching highchair decorations (disposable bib, high chair tray banner, dropcloth for under the chair to catch cake bits and a large banner that is personalized). I will be making cupcakes for his party with funfetti cake in cupcake liners that have balloon designs on them. We are having all family with just a few close friends attend & we are having it at the Clubhouse of the neighborhood where my MIL lives (free!). I will make a few appetizers/munchies and have some sparkling punch and that's about it. I ordered him a t-shirt that has a fake necktie embroidered on it so he'll look fancy but still be comfy. I also ordered him a bib that "My First Birthday" on it. I am thinking that I will make him his own birthday hat so it matches his shirt too. I can't wait!!

The circus is coming to town for our daughter's first birthday! I have grown up just loving birthdays so it's not a surprise to anyone that I am doing it big for our little girl! The invitations are circus tickets, there will be games, like fishing for gold fish, ring toss and face painting and the big surprise will be a pony! So much fun! Lots of kids! Lots of memories!

I am doing a party based off Nicknames that we have called my son through out the 1st year. So I am having Monkey plates, cups, etc. since I call him my lil monkey, making mini hunny buns for parents favor since I call him my hunny bun, I drew a character that is similar to his face called Tuggy, which is another nick name and putting the tuggy pic on shirts for the kids as favors attending the party. The outside is going to be decorated in Teal and yellow, and I am getting sippy cups that look like monkeys. I am super excited and have begun planning and buying supplies already. I am an event planner so I have been planning this party for awhile! It's going to be BIG!!

I'm doing a butterfly theme for my little girl. I'm even playing with the idea of a butterfly release.Everyone will get a butterfly and make a wish for her when it flys away! It's just close family and friends. My older daughter celebrated a lady bug themed party. This year she'll have a a picnic theme since her birthday falls on Memorial Day weekend!

We live in a small town house with no parking so we are skipping a party:( We are moving to NC in a few months so hopefully the next birthdays will be better. Gonna take him to get his pictures done and we are allowed to bring in a cake with balloons. Got him a hat of a birthday cake with 1 candle on top and a diaper cover. Can't wait to see those pictures. Gonna be fun!

were having a big party at the park down the road from our house. we got all fishy stuff for keegan cuz his fish are his favorite things in the whole world! im making him a two tiered cake (white) with different size random green blue and orange disks and balls all over and making a super small cake shaped like a building block for his piece! i made the invites myself and got pics done at walmart ($5.00) and am sending a small photo with the invites. i have a lot of family in other states that cant come but want to be included. also cuz its at the park there is plenty of things for keegan and all the other kids to do so everyone can just relax have fun and celebrate both keegan and us making it threw our first year!

Where I live first bdays are a HUGE deal so we are going all out. We're having a Luau/Fiesta (Since I'm Mexican and my husband has lived in Hawaii his whole life) We're getting her baptisted that morning then having a huge party at the church that afternoon. Prime rib, tacos, cake, keg, etc...
What I can't decide is what to give out as little souveniers. I thought about mugs, but my cousin did that and i don't want to bite off her. Any suggestions???

I wanted to have a big bash (invitations, cake, ice cream, balloons, grill out in the park) but my husband doesn't really want to do anything for her birthday. I know she won't remember it, but it is just as much a celebration for us making it through our first year of parenthood!
