Daughters Molars are coming in before her eye teeth

My Ellie-girl is getting her first molars( all 4 of them) before her incisor (eye) teeth. Not sure if this is a normal thing, or if I need to consult the Dr. (or a dentist) about this! She got her other 8 teeth all in the correct order, I just thought it was odd that all 4 of her molars are almost in, and not even a hint of the ones before.

Thats how my son did. It was only a few weeks later that he began to cut his eye teeth. Dont be alarmed. This is completely normal.

I never heard of anything about the order that teeth come in. But, my son was the same way, the canin'es are just now coming in and everything else came in before.

Im in dental assisting school. Thats actually the proper order, central incisors, lateral incisors, 1st molars, canines then about a year to get enough space for the second molars

That is exactly how my daughters teeth came in!! I thought it was odd also but now one of her top incisors is coming in so I'm sure the rest will follow soon.

last 2 months i had this problem, the molars came first and now all 4 are out the 1 incisor has began to burst through i guess your daughter will do the same.

My LG got her 4 molars all at once at about 12 months which was rare to get them that early but it doesnt matter when and it what order they come up, as long as they come up :) I think she is starting to teeth with her top canines now. The very back molars are only supposed to come in when they are about 2 years old. But again these are not cast in stone for every child.

My youngest son has his 4 molars, I can see some hit of the second set. No canines yet though... I would not worry if I were you, give it some time.

Hi Rebecca, My son is the same. Front eight teeth came through he hs one bottom molar through already and another 2 are coming through as we speak. No eye teeth as yet. Nature does what it wants to do.

pretty sure the molars usually come before the eye/canine teeth. My daughter has her 8 front teeth, and molars coming through. No eye teeth yet. I also work in childcare, most of the babies who are teething are getting their molars before eye teeth.

the order teeth typically come in are bottom 2 center, top 2 center, top 2, bottom 2 front, then the 4 first molars, then the canine teeth, then the second set of molars. by age 2 your baby should have all 20 baby teeth.

ps my best friends daughter is 2 months older than my daughter and only has the top four and bottom two teeth so it all depends on the child and the diet

it doesnt matter the order they get them in. My friends son got his eye teeth last and her husband never got them as a baby so I think it just depends on the child.

My Baby Zanthe also got her 4 molars before her canines. her teeth come out in a set of 4 each time. The order is correct according to the doctor, But i just go with the flow and grind on my teeth when she gets hers.......

Thanks everyone. apparently I need to look things up before I panic in my sleep deprived state! I found a lovely little animated model that shows Molars coming in first.

My doctor told me it was normal for the molars to come before the canines. Of course, then my daughter got her canines first. The order really doesn't matter.
