So my son will be turning 7 months old next week and as a new mom, I have questions. Does your baby like to pinch really hard, spit uncontrollably, and shake their head back and forth as if he/she is saying 'no'?

Jakob loves to pinch and boy does it hurt, when i say no he thinks it is hilarious! Spitting yes aswell especially when he is eating which of coarse to him is so funny. I got carrot stains all over my clothes! Jakob does not shake his head yes or no, but he loves to tip it from side to side.

Mine likes to tare things, squeel and have long conversations whith things in her hands. When sitting she likes to play the drums with thing in her hands...and she can giggle for no reason at all! Very happy and content in her own little world!!

Konosoang about the biting...try to get her out of the habit of biting people...as this can couse great problems when she gets older and goes to play with other kids! There are lots of BAD illness out there which she can get exposed to!

Enjoy your happy baby's ....they all sound like loads of fun!

Yes, Yes, and yes! My 7 month old is always covered in drool (teething), he shakes his head back and forth all the time...and i laugh because hes usually smiling when he does it...and me laughing makes him do it more! i love it! and yes, he pinches...which is a milestone for our April babies...its called the pincher grasp...and hes practicing this fine motor skill so he can find every little peice of fuzz on the carpet...grasp it...and put it strait into his mouth! (it also helps him to feed himself finger foods) :)

Haha! Yeah, I think my son just likes to spit! Once he figured out how to make funny noises with his mouth, it has been almost non stop. Thank goodness for bibs! We're still working on the pinching, but I'm glad to know that it's normal and I'm not the only one being beaten up by my 7 month old, haha! Experienced an awful temper tantrum today when he didn't get his way. At least we will all know what is to come in the next 2 years!

Ha!!! I love it and yes, I can relate! My daughter does pinch and shake her head back and forth...It usually happens when she's tired. We just say No! forcfully enough to get her attention and remove her hand from pinching and then either give her something else to do or keep rocking. Usually when she shakes her head back and forth its when she is teething. Not sure why...it just started when the first tooth popped up. It might also be a fun thing to do. My daughter doesn't spit uncontrollable, but I babysat a little girl this summer that started drooling at about 2 months. We just kept a bib on her.

My little man doesn't pinch, but he pulls hair and slaps everything in arms reach when he's mad, he "back talks" when i tell him its bed time, he yells babbled words at me like he's giving me trouble for putting him to bed.

lol. my monkey doesn't pinch, but he does throw little tantrums already. Sometimes he'll tell me "ugh ugh" - that's what I say to him - I try not to tell him "no", points at me & babbles really loud like he's giving me the 3rd degree, or smacks the floor when he gets upset when I take something away that he shouldn't have. When he's hungry & I'm taking to long to get ready (I breastfeed), he takes his fist all balled up & smacks himself in the mouth really hard repeatedly until I sit down to feed him. Right about now they're starting to really test their limits because they're so much more mobile & starting to form words. Gotta love it!
