My daughter is on the whole' a happy and contented baby, but she does tend to fight her sleep. It is more often than not a battle to get her to sleep even though she is clearly exhausted!!!! she has been doing this since being born!!!! i've tried numerous things - but i am open to suggestions, does anyone have any idea's of how the could put my baby to bed without having to fight her !!!!! x

Hi!! You have just described my daughter!! I finally broke down and started with the attended sleep training. I do her whole little bedtime routine(bath, cuddles, nursing) then I put her in her crib and leave the room for 10 minutes. The first few nights were absolutely horrible and she would scream even louder every time I left the room after checking on her. I wanted to do the pick up put down method but I found that she didn't need me to pick her up~just rub her belly for a few minutes until she calmed down and then leave again. Now two weeks later(a 5 day fever and a new tooth all happened in the middle of this)she goes down fairly easily, she'll fuss when I leave the room but no more screaming!!
