I'm so nervous about the H1N1 flu. I don't know if I should get my littles ones the vaccination. I don't know if it's as serious as the media makes it out to be. I worry about the new vaccination & how safe it really is. Is anyone else worried? Are you going to get the vaccination for your children?

I think it is way too new! Especially if your child stays home with you and isn't in daycare where they can contract it easily. Also, I think it is being media is blowing it up because just as many people die from the seasonal flu as H1N1. Also I am not sure who said that children under 10 can't get it, but in MD they have a 'nasal spray' version for children over 2, but say that under 2 yrs, pregnant women and people with health issues need to get the shot version because the nasal inhalation of the vaccine is not safe for them.

Honestly, my husband got swine flu and then I believe that I and my baby got a touch of it too - my husband was sick, but no sicker than a very bad cold. The only reason he stayed home from work was because his boss was freaked out. As for me and my baby, we were sniffly for a few days. I really think that for MOST people, the swine flu is no big deal and the media is freaking out over it. People die from the regular flu, too, when conditions are right.

as far as i am concerned reguarding my daughter, no heck no she will not get the h1N1 vaccine. Its absolutely to new. If you test positive and begin taking antiviral meds you should be able to fight the virus better than if you hadn't taken the meds. the media is making this way bigger than what it is. yes it is a bad virus. but its the flu. if you your baby or anyone in your family have flu symptoms you should go to the doctor or the hospital and be tested so you can treat your self correctly.

There is really nothing to worry about because the media has repeatedly said that children under 10 can not get the vaccination, so it really is a mute point!

Hello! I am personally anti vax, my 2 year old is vaccine injured. I am able to be objective though. I think the regular flu shot is not for everyone but there are people out there that benefit from it. I have done a ton of research on the H1N1 vax becuase my DH is mandated to get it. The vax has been rushed. I have read way too many articles where even the creators will not take the vax, because it is said to be dangerous to the nervous system. I personally always say that if you have doubts then you should wait and doing some research. If after that you are still in doubt then follow your gut.
