My son is 9 months and 3 weeks old and he is becoming extremely attatched to me. I also think he is producing seperation axiety (spell Check). I'm not sure if I am doing thing right or wrong by him constantly being with me. I babysit for my neighbors part time and he comes with me. I have only had 4 times that I have left him with the sitter, but it was for only a hour so I could go grocery shopping. What do I need to do to help him get over this phase!?!?!

I have read that separation anxiety peaks between 8 and 12 months so don't despair you will be able to have some me time again in a few months... Actually leaving your baby with someone might help them get over it sooner as you prove to them that you always come back when you leave them. Good Luck!

sadly my son is in that place too. He doesnt even want to be left alone with daddy. I feel terrible about that since I never get alone "ME" time and now im never going to get it. He wakes up screaming in the middle of the night i go in and put my hand on his tummy he sighs and rolls over and goes back to sleep. Its sweet, but hard on the rest of the family.

Yes exactly My son does that every morning. And when I leave himwith the sitter for that one hour I leave with him crying and I come back with him crying and all of a sudden he's happy. I tell the sitter not to take it personally. SO I have finally gave in and I take him everywhere. It may be harder grocery shopping with him sitting in the buggy but atleast he's not giving anyone a headache!

I think my son has separation anxiety to he has 9 months..He's hardly away from me..He doesn't stay anywhere that often..I looked it up online about babies having separation anxiety and my son has a sign of it where if they wake up screaming and you go in there and they are all of a sudden calm laughing then they have separation anxiety cuz my son does that
