My son was born with a unilateral(one side) cleft lip and a bilateral(both sides) cleft palate. He has had his first operation, his lip repair in july 2009 he was only 3 months old. his palate repair in meant to be in feb 2010 but still uncertain about the date. after this he may need another operation when he is 2 or 3 depending on how tings are going. he will need a bone graft when he is 10 to fill in his gum. and when he is 16 he decides if he wants anymore operations. i was just wondering if there was any other mums that have cleft children and how there surgury went or if they want to ask me a question about anything i would gladly answer any question that anybody has. so if anybody has a cleft baby please let me know so that either i know what is ahead or we can just help each other out. oh and by the way michael is my first baby so it has been extremely hard.
