my daughter Lyla is 11 months old. She has 8 teeth (4 top, 4 bottom) and is working on her molars....ive always heard that every baby is different and develops at different times. there are some things that babies dont do as quickly as others. given the other replies...you are not alone. dont get too discouraged! maybe giving your son some hard things to chew on will promote his teeth to come in. and as always, your pediatrician or maybe even a pediatric dentist might have some more insight for you

My daughter is 11 months old - She just started getting teeth about 1 month and a half ago. She has three that are through the gums and one just pushing through. She doesn't walk on her own yet either. She is taking her good old sweet time. Don't worry, every baby is different. My mom tells me my first tooth came in at 13 months, so the doctor told me not to expect my daughter to get teeth early and she didn't. Find out when you and your husband first got your teeth because my doctor said there may be a corralation. Who knows?

my daughter will be a year on the 23rd of April and while she still isn't walking she has 6 and starting to get two more teeth. Every baby is different so I wouldn't worry too, too much! It doesn't hurt to call the Pediatrician and just run it over with them (that's what they are there for!)

My daughter is 11 1/2 months and has 8 teeth and another coming through. She got her first 2 teeth when she was 4 months and didn't get the next few till she was 8 months. Don't be worrying about when they get the teeth. They say the earlier they get them the quicker they loose tem. My poor child will be completely toothless by the age of 6 if she keeps getting teeth like this!!!

Don't worry too much my kids are polar differences when it comes to hitting milestones espcially teeth. My 3 yr old didn't get his first tooth till he was about 9 mons and it took him forever to cut the rest, but my 11 month old has been cutting 2 teeth at a time every other month since she was 4 months old

Well, I don't think I'm going to make anyone feel better. My 11mo little girl has 7 teeth, 4 top and 3 bottom. 5 of them came in all at once! She's had them for a couple of months now. She started teething when she was 2 months old! None of the teething seems to bother her either so that is a blessing!!

Ava is 11 months old, she was six weeks early. I don't think that we can compair any baby or their individual stage growth. It is fun though too look and marvel at the differences in children. Ava gets two teeth at a time, started at five months, bottom middle two, top middle two, then at seven months her laterals came in both top and bottom. Now she is teething on the right so badly she runs a fever, no crying at all with her teething! It seems she doesn't have any trouble or pain, I don't know if that is normal or not??? Although she will bite things once in a while really aggressive!

Every child is different and develops mentally and physically at their own pace! My 11 1/2 month old has his two bottom teeth only. He does just fine though. So long as all of his food is cooked thoroughly and in small bites, he tackles it just fine!

My son, Feilong, will be 1 YEAR OLD in 2 weeks from today. Feilong was born 6 weeks early and he has two teeth about a month ago. His second tooth came through 2 days after his first tooth. It was awful! Feilong was clinging on to me for 3 nights and 3 days; I felt like a zombie that week. =)

i actually talked to my peds about this. they say the longer they take to come out it may actually help him in the long run because the less cavities they will have later on. you shouldnt be worried about it, is ok for them to take a little longer :)

By the time Jackson was 11 months old he had 8 teeth! He started teething by 4 months! My oldest didn't cut his first until he was 13 months old and my middle child cut their first tooth when she was 8 months. But, I have heard the longer they take to cut through, the stronger they will be. I don't know how true it is but my first born is now 10 and hasn't had a cavity yet.

I wouldn't worry both my kids were preemies my daughter was born at 25 weeks and didn't start to get her first teeth until she was two and my son now 11 months who was born at 29 weeks doesn't have any teeth yet but seems to be teething. I wouldn't be too concerned but you can always take him to a pediatric dentist and talk to them about your concerns probably nothing to be worried about though.

my daughter will be a year old in two weeks and now has 7 teeth. she had only 2 teeth up until this last week or so. so dont worry about the teeth he will get them when he is ready. My daughter got the first two at the same time at four months old then all of the suden she woke up with one more on top and withen a couple of days she got four more. My niece on the other hand is the same age as my daughter exactly 3 weeks younger. She has two teeth and they came in one at a time and a few months apart. She has no signs of any more coming in so every baby is different iv seen 18 mo olds with only 2 or 3 teeth its ok, he will get them. the best way to know when is ask your in-laws when your husband got his and your parents when you got all yours it is genetic

My daughter is 11 months old and was born right on time. She has 3 teeth (the 2 top center ones just came in together) and your little is ahead of her, she is not walking yet. Every milestone has a large span where it can happen. Never worry or fret unless the doc thinks there is a problem. That is what I tell myself every time I want to panic a little.

Urgh, these questions kill me, because I start to doubt her development. I'm assuming everyone goes to the well child visits, and the doc will tell you if anything isn't normal. My daughter was 3 weeks early, and she just cut her second tooth (she's 11 months now) The doc always told me "Don't worry, as long as she has ONE tooth by the time she's 15 months" She told me the same with walking, and talking. Since I'm raising my daughter bilingual, (french/english) she said I may not hear her first words until she's 2. I know it's more info than just teeth, but I hate to see moms worry over nothing. Just ask the doc, they've seen it all, and babies aren't on any timetable, as we all know, they do EVERYTHING as they please, lol

my boys both had many teeth by the time they were 11 months old, however my daughter only has 2. she is the same as your son in that i don't even feel any more coming in. i think that every child is different but if you are truely concerned then talk to your pediatrician. they will tell you when and if you need to worry.

My son Kadien is almost 11months and he started getting teeth at about 3mths old he got 2 at the same time and now he has 8 and is teething still. I think the later they come in the better cuz he hates brushing his teeth and it is a battle everytime and I was told the long it takes the stronger they are but I don't know he has been ahead on alot of things when itm comes to growing cuz he already wears 24mths to 2T and 3T clothing

my son is 3 wks from a year.. he was actually born right on time.. but he has four teeth. the two on bottom came in at 9 months and the two on top came in a month ago... it is perfectly normal for a child to only have few to no teeth at all at that age. its actually healthier for the child when their teeth come in later. the longer it takes for the teeth to grow in the stronger the teeth will be. it all varies i suppose.. my best friends son is only 9 months and already has 9 teeth.. which is really tough on her cause he is a biter!!

Very normal. Every kid gets teeth at a different rate. My 11 mo dd has had her bottom two teeth since 8 mo but none other have come to join in. Definitely helps us nurse longer since we got past the nipping stage with minimal teeth.

Don't worry. My son will be 11 months on Saturday and his second tooth at the bottom just came in. My pediatrician was not worried. As some of the other mother's have said some babies don't get teeth until after they are 1.

My daughter is 2 weeks away from being 1, and she still does not have any teeth, or any signs of them. I've heard that the longer the teeth take to come in, the healthier the teeth tend to be.. don't know if that's true or not. My son's 2 bottom teeth came in at 10 months. I'm not worried!
