becca was born april 23, weighed 7lb 10oz; 19 3/4"...at 7 months, becca weighed 14lb 14oz; 27 1/2"...she's at about 25th% for weight, 75th% for height: her doc said she's long and lean...she is just the right length for 6mo clothes, but still too skinny...dr doesn't seem too concerned that becca is so little, but did suggest we go up to 3 meals (solid food) a day....she still nurses regularly...refuses a bottle

Baby Kyle was born on April 23rd at 6 lbs 10 oz. Hes now 23 or 24 lbs, and wearing 12-18 month clothes!!

I wouldn't worry so much about it, because she wil loss the weight when she starts to walk. My son was born April 2,2009 @ 7lbs-12ozs, and now he's 21 1/2 lbs and 8months. Yeah, he's a little chucky, but not obese. He's also tall as well. But now that he's crawling, and just now starting to stand up on his own, I now the weight will come off soon.

That's nothing my son Logan was 9 lbs 0.5 oz. at birth and he is 23 lbs, hes chubby but definetyl not obese. I love chubby babies I think they are adorable.

Timothy was born on April 7th, and weighed 8 lbs 2 oz (a whole pound and an ounce smaller than his older brother). At his appointment on Monday (Dec. 7) he weighed in at 17 lbs 14 oz. So apparently he's growing at an average rate. He also has 8 teeth already. He has reached several milestones that took his brother a little longer to reach.

I'm in the same boat. My Daughter was born April 7th at 7lbs 7oz and now she is 22lbs but not chubby at all. She is wearing 12-18month size clothing because of her height. Her daddy is 6'4" and everyone in her family is close to 5'9" or taller. It really depends on you and your family. If your doctor is not concerned then try not to worry about it. That is what helps me to ignore what everyone says, remembering that the DOCTOR says she is perfect in every way.

My son was born April 5th. At birth he was 7 pounds and 11 ounces. He currently is 21 pounds and 29 inches long. Grayson is in 12 month clothes and 18 month sleepers. Our doctor has not been concerned at all about Grayson weight.

my daughter is 8 months old and weighed 17 lbs 5oz at her doc appointment 3 days ago...he says she is below avg but still in the "normal" range...she is also 28 inches long and in 6-9 month clothes. She has never been chubby which i think is sooo cute on babies so dont worry about it.

Leah was born 6lbs 11oz aswell, she was 20lbs at 6 months, she is very long, everyone tells me they should be this weight at 1 YEAR. maybe I am forcing her to eat too much she still has 4 bottles a day on top of cereal, fruit and veggies.

My son Logan born 7th april he was two weeks early and weighed 7lbs 13 oz and now at just under 8 months he weighs 20lbs 2oz, but he is fairly tall (long!) his last measurement he was 73cm's how bout you peeps?

My son was born 3 weeks early weighing 7lbs 4oz and when I weighed him at 6 months 3 weeks he weighed 20lbs. He's now 7.5 months old. He's chubby but not fat he wears 12-18 month clothes. He's just a big boy.

I think it's a nice size. I had my son April 8th weighing 8lbs 6oz. He now weighs 21lbs. he's wearing size 9-12 months. The doctors don't colmplain and I feel like he's doing just fine. Every baby is different in my opinion. I wouldn't worry about it

dominic was born april 1 09 @ 7lbs 14oz he is now 8mts and weighs 24lbs and is in size 18mts -size 2 as long as she is healthy and happy that is all that matters :)

My son was born April 22, 2009 his weight was 7lb 11oz 21 1/2in. Now he is 24lb and 31in and is wearing some 12mo and mainly 18mo clothes. My son is the biggest in my circle of friend. And he is not chubby just long and strong.!!!

Lizzie was born at 7lbs 7oz.. she is now 17lbs as well.. my pedia says she is 1lb overweight (her weight is for an 8-month old), but that it's ok so no need to worry.. Other relatives reassure that there would be lots of opportunities for her to shed it off when she gets really active later on (walking and running) :)

She will be fine..MY son was born 10lbs and he is 30lbs and is healthy a little chunky but he is good..and my doc never says anything about his weight...as far as the clothes colby is in to 2-3t and he is 1 1/2 years old..

john was born april 10th at 7lbs 4oz - he went down to 6lbs 10oz then shot up a pound a week until he was 15lbs in june then he slowed down and gained about a pound and a half per month since.. he is now 20lbs 14oz... he is getting so heavy my arm cannot keep up with his growth... it is so hard to carry him from one room to the next.. i can't wait until he starts crawling and/or walking... he's wearing all different sized clothing. its crazy.. when you hold a piece of clothes up it may look too big for him but then i try it on him and it barely fits.. lol...

LOL my son was born on 04/13/2009- He weighs almost 28pds so dont feel bad he is a BIG baby boy and I LOVE IT and hes healthy so as long as your baby is Happy and Healthy I wouldnt worry about it. GOD BLESS

I would look at where her height is on the chart (in the UK it's in your baby's health record). if her height is comparible with her weight, she's not overweight.

My baby is 7 months and weighs 23 pounds! The doctor does not seem worried though because she is reaching all her milestones and her length and head width is in proportion with the rest of her body. Don't sweat it too much...my older kids were HUGE babies and at 5 and 6, they are perfectly average size. Feed that baby when she wants and take advantage of the great cuddle time you two can share right now!

Israel was born at 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches...hes now 7 months and 19.5 lbs and 27.5 inches. Dont go by what everyone says, go by what her pediatrician says. im sure she well within normal! Babies are supposed to have a little chub :)

I know this is a bit late, just wanted to say that my little man was born at 9lbs3oz, and at his 5 month check-up (which was just before he was 5 months actually), he weighed 20lbs6oz! Hes super heavy, kinda chubby but not overly.. Hes wearing size 0 now at 7 months lol

Aw you're kiddo isn't obese at all! My girl Avery was born 6lbs 14oz and was 7 lbs 2 oz when we left the hospital 3 days later! Healthy eater yes!



She now weighs 17lbs and is 28" long. She's far some obese but does have those fantastic baby rolls that make her arms and legs look like someone put rubber band around a fluffy pillow to make joints. Lol



She was born April 23rd btw so she's 1 day over 7 months.

chalotte was born 6lb 3oz. got her weighted last week at 28 weeks and she is only 15lb 3 oz....but is normal and is on her percentile - just she looks so tiny compared to other baby's born same time.

Tempest was born on the 24th at 6lbs even. She weighed in at her 6 month appt at 12lbs 10oz. We just put her in 3/6 month clothes. She is a petite thing, but I doubt she'll get too chubby as she's moving now so we'll see.

My seventh month old is 15 lbs. 8 oz. but I have many friends who have 3-month-olds weighing as much or more than her! It's completely normal. Mine is just about to outgrow 3 to 6 clothing so she's a little small. She was born 6 lbs. 3 oz. on April 17.

well my son was born 7lbs 7oz and he weight over 20 pound and is wearing size 6to9 and 12 to18 months but that is because of his length so i wonden't worry about it if ur doctor say that she is doing good every baby is differnt that sound like she is where she need to be .

@ birth Brooklynn was 8 lbs 3 oz, now @ 7 months she is 18 lbs 10 oz lol and 29 in long, she's off the charts for height! When she was born I was on Methadone and thought that becuz of that she'd be small plus the fact that I couldnt take pre-natal vitamins cuz they made me sick...but she came out just fine and fat lol

I def. wouldn't worry about it. My son was born at 10 lbs 1.5 oz and is now 20 lbs 2 oz! He looks so much bigger then other kids his age and is wearing 12 months clothes. But he is not obese, he is a little chubby but healthy! I think it depends on your babies height as well.

Hi,my gorgeous girl weighed just under 12lbs when she was born. She was my Everest! Safe to say, the stretch marks came in abundance.

She is now 7 and a half months old and weighs 19lbs 11oz and eating very well. I have a feeling that she's gonna be a little worried when she gets pregnant and asks me how much she weighed.

My little girl Scarlett was 7lb,13oz when she was born (8 days late, on the 10th April) and I have always worried that she is far bigger than other babies her age and peope are constantly thinking she is older than she actually is. I had her weighed again today and she is now at 19lbs, 3oz. I love her just the way she is, she's my little chunky monkey hehe :D

my little boy kevin was born april 23, and he iwas 7lbs 10oz and 19 1/2 in long when he was born at at his 6 month check up he was 18.14lbs and 28 1/2 in long, is like in the 68% of weight, but my doc says he looks good, he is proportionate to his body he is SOO tall, but he gets that from his dad and my dad my husband is like 6'2 and my dad is almost 6'5 so he's probably gonna be tall

My baby Olivia was 7lbs 12oz at birth 4/09 and is know 15lbs 8oz. And she is wearing 6 to 9 months clothes and because she is very long. I think your baby is fine.
