Benjamin was born 7lbs 13 oz and was 17 lbs at his 7 month check up, so Im not sure what he weighs now. He's been crawling since Oct and walks holding onto things, once your baby starts crawling he'll thin out! Ben was only in the 23rd percentile

my son was born on 19th apr. and weighs 20lbs8oz. he is crawling but does'nt use his knees. he's literally on all fours. he uses his feet instead so has a weird style but it gets him around the room really fast! :)

Hi! My daughter was born April 28th and weighed 7lbs13oz. At her last check up she was 16.5 lbs but I think she's gained at least 2 lbs since then. She crawls, sits up, stands up, goes back down, and even crawls up steps but we don't let her! LOL! She's also eating our food and hates gerber but she has 6 teeth already so she can chew. She's growing up fast!!!

My baby was born April 28th, at 7 lbs, 6 oz. I just had her weighted last week and she is 16 lbs, 15 oz, which is the 5 % percentile for her age. She has however, been crawling since about 5 and a half months and has been pulling herself up to furniture and standing for about 2 months now.

Babies come in all shapes and sizes. You worry about your baby being overweight, I worry about mine being underweight. My son was born April 10th and was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 20.5 inches long. He is now 18 lbs. 6 oz. and 28.5 inches tall. He's just barely on the charts for weight and I'm always trying to get calories into him... He has been crawling since about 7 months and is cruising along furniture and trying to climb everything. Your baby sounds like he's doing just fine to me.

my son was born on april 24th was 5weeks early and weighed 4lbs 9 1/2 now 8months old he is 20lbs7oz and look like a little chunky monkey,but he cant sit on hiown and trys rollin only on this left side doesnt do much on the right he cant crawl yet but dov said as he hasnt long had a hernia op it will take some time for him to start doin anythink like that and his teeth are there but some reason they dont want to come thru we can see 5 all together.x

My babygirl was born April 16th at 9 pounds 3 ounces and she weights about 16 pounds now... which they say is underweight. They upped her formula to 5 scoops per 6 ounces of water... so we'll see!

My little girl was also premature, she was 5 weeks early when we brought her home she weighed 3lbs 15 oz adn 17 in long, now at eight months she weighs 18 lbs and is 26.5 in long! my little one has caught up! Shes not crawling but shes been rolling over since she was 3 days old, not joking, so now she just rolls everywhere, she can sit up on her own, pushes backwards when she does try to crawl. She says daddy, moma, hey, peekaboo and she knows the signs for daddy, moma, and hungry, been trying to teach sign language for a while and shes startin to use it now!

my daugther was born on April 1st and she weighed 6lbs 2ozs and she went for her 9 months apt and she weights 18.3. I thought for sure she would have been at least 20 lbs. I was reading some of the post by others and their babies are above 20lbs at that age. She eats alsmost every 2-3 hours. She did start crawling early and never stops now that she gets up, she's like a yo0yo, up, down, up, down. Maybe thats why!!!???

I had twin boys born April 18th both weighed3 Ib 13 oz (they were 2 months early) Michael now weighs 18 pounds and Tyler weighs 22 pounds! You would never know they were preemies! Michael is in 75% and Tyler happys in 95%! They are both very happy and healthy boys!! You child is NOT overweight and no baby should ever be puton diet if they are just eating normal meals with cereal, fruits, and veggies!! My boys both roll over, sit up, and both are scooting around everywhere!!

My son is 9 months, born April 11th. He is 23 lbs, and 29 inches. I though he was big! He was 9 lbs 1 oz when he was born. It is nice to know babies come in all shapes and sizes. I would see what the doctor says about the weight. My baby seems to be moving quickly, he crawled at 6 months and is pulling up and free standing. They all progress in their own time.

My son was born the 14th of April he was 11lbs 6.5 ozs he was a big boy and still is i had he weigh around 7 months and was 25lbs he was also doing everything earlier then normal he was holding his head up pretty good at 2 months and from the day he was born he held his head up and look around and down he went again, he was 5 months old when he started sitting all by himself 6 months he started crawling, pulling himself up and walking along everything and only started saying mama, dada, pop and nana and i don't think your baby is overweight and i do not think mine is either he'll start crawling and that when he is ready too i'm sure and dont be so silly to think he's overweight cuz he's a bit big and won't crawl he won't be long losing some when he do start crawling

my boy was born april 29 weighing 9lb, he is now 25lb 12.7oz! He is sitting, rolling and starting to bottom shuffle, push backwards and he wants to pull himself up, but cant pull up his weight! He can stand holding onto the couch or something if you help him up. He has no teeth yet (i dont mind - one less set of teeth to worry about cleaning at the moment) although they are coming and hes not happy with them :(

My baby boy Baxter was born on the 22nd April he was 5.1kg (11 and half pounds) 58cm long. He is now 8 months old about 11kg 76cm long and has been crawling for bout 2 months. He stands up and walks around the furniture and sits alone without any trouble he is very busy all day long.

My daughter was born on April 18th and weighed 9 lbs 1oz and was 21 3/4inches long....the last time she was at the doctor was two weeks ago. She weighed 20lbs 7oz and was 29 in long. I think it just depends on the baby, what they weigh when there born and genes play a role. I happen to be short and my husband is about a foot taller than me, so even though my daughter is usually heavier than other babies her age...she is alot longer than they are. She can roll around and sit up and all that. I wouldn't worry about your son, he sounds healthy and unless your doctor has concerns i wouldn't worry.

We just got weighed yesterday. We started at 7lbs 10oz and are now 20lb...We just really started getting ready to crawl. I put his bottle out in front of him and he got on all fours to try and get it, but didn't know where to go from there, lol.

I took Torin to the pediatrician today & they said he's 21.5 lbs & 29" tall. He actually lost 1/2 a pound from when we weighed him at 6 mos. (The docs screwed up the schedule & this ended up being his 6 month checkup. The 9 month one will be at 10 months & the year one will be on time. They have to try to catch him up now.) I'm thinking it's b/c he's so active. ?? I hope that's the case b/c otherwise I'm going to be somewhat concerned.

My lil girl was born April 19th at 6lbs 5oz,,, she is now 14lbs but is sitting up on her own, crawling, and standing up on the edge of the couch, crib, and anything else she can reach up at.. she is in the 5th percentile of weight and 50th percentile in height... i was concerned with her small size but the docs say she is happy and healthy!

Studies have shown that a mother cant usually tell if their own child is overweight, but they could point out if other womens children are....n thats a problem. well i think the doctor can determine for sure whether your child is overweight or not. I think that you should just be sure that you are creating a healthy eating habit for your child starting now because if not, it can lead to being overweight all their lives because they think its ok to eat certain foods or over eat. Overall, your child is beautiful, and i know how hard it is to deny food to them, or anything else.

I dont think eny child is over weight just becasue hes not crawling hes a healthy baby boy that loves his food i used to say my daughter was over weight i had her weighed at her check up at 6 months old she weighed 19 pounds i thought that was bad but wasent she is now almost 8 months old and can crawl climbs up on stuff to stand shes being really fast with her development but my mom said to me cause my first child wasa chunky baby and crawled lat that jamie was much bigger then gary at this age so guess its all about the baby maybe hes just not ready i dont think it has enything to do with his weight hes jusy=t a healthy baby boy!

Most children who are formula fed will weigh more, but no I doubt he is overweight babies unlike us will not over eat they eat when they are hungry and that is it so don't worry about it. My son was the exact opposite he hit 46 lbs at age 4 and then didn't gain any weight until he was almost nine every childs metabolism is different as long as he is still moving and happy don't worry about it. Also my daughter who was born April 18 was 8 lbs 13 oz and 22 inches long. She has been sitting on her own since she was 5 months and crawling by 6 1/2 months....now she is trying to walk she walks around holding onto the furniture. Also loves to try whatever we are eating no teeth yet though so she is learning to chew with her gums. We have not weighed her lately but I am hoping she is 20 lbs so we can switch out of the infant car seat

I think your son's fine. Mine was weighed (by me) at 6 mos & he was 22 lbs then. He's in 12-18 month clothes now & he's 8 months old. I don't know his exact height & weight now though. My doc is stupid with the schedule & had him in at 4 mos & then scheduled him for 8 mos (what happened to 4,6,9???). We go on Tuesday for his next appt. He was born April 17th at 7 lbs 12 oz & 21" long. He can sit on his own, crawl, pull up & he's working on standing & cruising right now. We're in trouble with 2 mobile boys. lol

My son was on April 7th at 7lbs and 14ozs and 21 1/4 inches long. He is not 19lbs and 2ozs. He can crawl and is pulling up on everything in sight. Just today he was standing and let go of the chair he was holding on to and waved both of his arms in the air and did not fall. I am very hopeful that he will start walking soon. But always remember that babies grow at different paces and each develop differently. It is what makes all unique.

I had my son in April and he was 8lbs on the nose now he is 8 months old and weighs 18lbs 15oz.He has been crawling for a couple of months and has started furniture walking. I also have 3 older children, a daughter and twin boys all three of them weighed 6lbs at birth. My girl at 2 years old was almost 20lbs. She fully walking by 9 months but my twins weighed 20lbs at just over 4 months old, they didn't walk until they were 15 months. Every baby is different, even ones who start of at the same weight. Each child will grow and reach gaols at different stages. Right now just watch him learn it is like you get to do all over for the first time again. Also Dr.'s would like to see baby boys weight three times the amount of their birth weight by at least 6 months.
