I used it with Breanna and haven't noticed side effects (she's 4 now).

But with Madelyn I bought her an Amber teething necklace online and it works wonders. I swear by them. Your baby doesn't chew on it, it releases a natural oils that helps with inflammation.

Most homeopathic formulas for teething or even colic have the most miniscule amounts of belladonna I have used them on both my children so far so good . If you are very concerned talk to a homeopath or a pharmacist they will be able to give you an idea how the homeopathic dosing works. The dose is in 1millioneth or something its crazy no where near a gram .hope this helps

I love the teething strips, as they don't have any lactose ingredient & work even faster. I used them for my daughter when she first got teeth around 6 or 7 months. I try using ice in a net feeder as much as possible & use the strips as a last resort.

Honestly, I have never used teething tablets with either of my children. I never used baby orajel either. I bought my kids the rings with liquid inside and froze them and let them chew on those any time they were teething. Another thing we use, which my mom did back in the day with my brother and I was to take a clean wash cloth and soak it in cold water and put it in the freezer as well. Maybe those options might ease your concerns over what is going into your child's system. This way they get the relief without the worry. :)

If you read up on how homeopathic medicines are made you would not be worried, it contains belladonna,but it is only like 1 particle to thousands of particles of water... read up on homeopathy on wkikpedia to see how it works.

If you are concerned, go to Hyland's website. They adress overdosing, and the Belladona. "To put homeopathic dosages in perspective, typically a 10-pound child would need to ingest 1,000 Hyland’s Teething Tablets (at least 6 bottles of 125 tablets) to exhibit even the first possible side effect of Belladonna."

Hope this helps. We have been using teethin tablets since my daughter has been 6 months old and she takes up to 4 at a time. No problems. Sometimes internet hype is not all it cracked up to be.

belladonna can have mild sedating effects, it is only a problem in high doses. The amount found in the tablets in a very small amout and as long as you follow the directions on the package and do not exceed the recommeded dosage you will be fine. I freaked when I read the directions but I have a friend in homepathic meds and she totally eased my fears.

I have 14 n=month old twin girls I have been using them for a few months now and they r the BEST for the teething I havent tried but have heard of Humphreys #3 its also the same as the hylands you could try that if you dont feel safe using the hylands its usually in the same aisle as the teething stuff

I know one time when my little guy was around 5,6 months old,he got ahold of the bottle and ended up eating like 10 tablets before me or my boyfriend noticed(the bottle was on the coffee table,and we didn't realize he could reach that yet!)he seemed fine afterwards we watched him,and he never showed any signs of poisioning...have to say,I absolutely love them though!they work wonders for my little man!

so long as you follow dosinginstructions you should befine. if you're really concerned talk to your doctor. they'll be able to explain it to you in a way to ease your fears. i use them and my brother uses them. my brother actually recommended them to me. my daughter went through a really bad teething phase (5 teeth at once) after the latest infants/kids tylenol recall (out walmart hasnt stocked it back up yet ) a few months back. they work wonders. i dissolve them in the recommended amount of water and them mix that water in with one of her cups of milk. i'm not fond of medication and i dont want ot rely on them for my children but sometimes it's just best to give them medicine. i love that hylands is homeopathic.
