My daughter will be 6 months in a few days she is rollin over and moves her self around with her feet. She sits up if I put her up.Don't be concerned it will happen when she is ready.

my boy will 6 months next week, can't crawl. He tries, and can kinda move himself with his feet, but hasnt got to his knees. He hates forced tummy time (he's okay if he rolls over himself). I've worried too since he sits on his own and likes to stand, but have gotten over it. They'll get there eventually.

Hi there i dont think it's anything to be concerned about, my son is 6 months and he doesnt crawl either, he'll push forward with his legs once and wiggle around on his tummy.
My other son however didnt crawl until a couple days before his 1st birthday and started walking 2 weeks later.

My son is 6 months old and rolling all over the place. Don't worry, that time will come. I am taking a mommy and me class and he is the youngest. There is one little boy who is 8 months old and hasn't learned to crawl yet, but he is pulling himself up though. Don't be concerned. I know how it is, you are so anxious to see this new phase :)

my son just turned 6 months and gets up on his hands and knees like he's ready to crawl then bounces backward and frontward or get up on his tip toes and hands like he wants to walk every baby is different. i remember with my little sister who is now 9 (i'm 21) she was crawling at 8 months we all got on the floor to help her and show her; she just did it in her own time

Mine isn't crawling or sitting yet. No worries. Dr. said she shouldn't be. She can sit if propped or supported, but not on her own.

with my older 2 they started crawling backwards at 7months my 6month old isn't crawling and I don't expect her 2 . Every child developes at different rates some never crawl and just go straight to walking so don't worry about what other babies are up to just enjoy your own :)

Don't be worried. My daughter is 5 1/2 months old and she army crawls and that is it. She doesn't even attempt to crawl. All babies are different, each one will do their own thing. When I was younger I never crawled, I went straight to walking. Keep your head up high, he might suprise you :) Good Luck

You're in good company on here. My son's 6 months next week and he's not crawling either. He gets as far as getting up on all fours, rocking back and forth, then doing a little froggy hop before falling over. He hasn't quite figured it out, but he'll get there eventually.

My son, born on 22/4/09, at 4wks early, is rolling around, and will sit up if i put him in position, when he is on his belly he is trying to crawl but gets frustrated. My first son did not start crawling until 8mths, then walked at 12mths. They are all different.

My LO will be 6m on 22nd Oct and she is not sitting or crawling yet, I was also concerned as my first sat and crawled by 6m but everyone has said not to stress so I'm not. She is a much happier baby than my first so I'll just be glad about that rather!

No .....don't be concerned. My 20 month daughter never crawled at all. She started bum shuffling at the age of 1 and now she walks, runs, skips etc. Not all babies crawl and more to the point 6 months is still quite young. I don't think that crawling is considered a milestone. Besides be thankful he isn't getting around yet because once they do OMG they don't sit still EVER....... My 2nd daughter is 5 1/2 months and all she does is roll, and thank goodness for that!

Just takes time..He will do everything on his own time schedule. I know it's exciting and scary ,but he will do it.

don't worry. My dd is 6 mo on the 22nd and is the first of my babies to enjoy tummy time. She's very good at it, spends lots of time on her tummy and rolls back and forth. she's not crawling yet and it hasn't even crossed my mind as somthing she should be doing- even with how good she is on her tummy.
Your little guy will be crawling before you know it.
I don't know where the book is about my second child, but my firstborn (with impeccable records) began crawling at 10 months and took his first step at 15 months. Each kid is different.

My daughters 6 months old and doesnt crawl either. Its not a problem some babys dont ever crawl they just get to a stage where they try to stand up or roll everywhere so dont worry about it :)
Courtney - posted on 10/13/2009
No you should not be worried my daughter is 6 months on the 11th of october and she will not crawl, she hates her tummy times, but she can sit up if you put her like that but won't do it by herself, so it will just take some time.
Shannon - posted on 10/13/2009
No you should not be. I was told by my doctor that they do not consider that as a milestone like walking any more so as long as your baby is happy then everything is ok.
Mary Lynn - posted on 10/13/2009
every baby is different and it is completely normal that your baby is not crawling. My son will be 6 months next week and he is not crawling... just rolling. It can happen anywhere from 6-10 months and some babies skip crawling alltogether and go straight to pulling up, standing and walking. I would not be concerned.

My daughter is 6 months on Thursday 15. She rolls around the room and can also sit up (if I sit her up). I wouldn't be concerned, all babies develop in there own time.
