I've been trying to PT my son for a few months now. He seems to understand how the potty works because if we sit him on it and ask him to push out the pee-pee, he does it. The problem I'm having is he never wants to sit on the potty. We try to get him on every hour but when we say "Wanna sit on the potty?" or "It's potty time. Let's go sit on the potty." We always hear "No." How do I get him to want to sit on the potty?

My son's 3. I bribe him with pez but it seems every time you mention the word "potty" he shuts down and throws a fit.

Well, I'll be honest. I bribe my son with M&Ms. If he tries, even if he doesn't produce anything, he gets 1 M&M. Peeing gets 2, and pooping gets 3. Apparently chocolate is enough to motivate my kid to do his business on the potty. Does he still have accidents? Sure, but for the most part, this system works for us.
