after six tiring months we are finally sleeping through the night (knock on wood)! For those of you who are still getting up at night, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

We started solids (veggies along with his cereal) this week, so I am not sure if that has been the trick, but it has been a long process of trying to get him to go to sleep on his own while he is still awake. He has gotten a lot better about going to sleep on his own. We've also introduced what they call a 'transitional object' His is a stuffed animal of a dog that he loves on when he goes to bed. He knows that when he sees the doggie, it means bedtime. I'll hear him wake up at night and make noise, but he can now go back to sleep on his own, which I think is key.

And who knows, maybe he is just getting to the point where he doesn't need the nighttime feedings anymore. Every child is different, so don't be discouraged when someone tells you that their 2 month old is sleeping through the night. =)

Congratulations I have always felt sorry for other mums, as I have twin boys who have been sleeping through the night since they were 2mths old. I love hearing when others babies do this. I have been very lucky
