I'd like to add that it was my birthday today and it was a nice present to sleep! If anyone wants to do the math, I was gigantic on my 26th birthday and not sleeping that well then either. 6 days later we were blessed with Logan (4/28/09)!

Mommies, I am happy to report that last night we had a leak-free night! I went out and bought sz4 Huggies Overnights. Full night of sleep!!! Hope night #2 goes just as well. Thanks for the suggestions. That is the best part of this site, being able to bounce questions off of other mommies and knowing that I am Not Alone! I really enjoy sleep, so thank you again! ~Ashley~ : )

I have tried every brand and I'm having a terrible time too. I wanted to get the overnights but I can't find them in size 3 ANYWHERE! My daycare provider suggested going up a size at night. Right now my son is wearing Huggies and I like them better than any of the other brands but at night it's awful. We have actually had the diapers explode on him in the last few weeks and that stuff is hard to get off. We are with you on this one. I don't know waht it is about boys overnight. I'm buying size 4's tonight and I'll let you know how it goes.

We use the Huggies Overnights now for bedtime (we use Pampers Cruisers during the day,) they are the only ones he won't pee through. I've typically shied away from Huggies cuz we had a LOT of leaking with them as a baby, we had been using the Pampers Baby Dry at night very successfully until just recently. He started leaking through those almost every night so we moved him up a size which worked for a week or two but then the leaks started again. We found the overnights and in the last week and a half we've only had a tiny bit of leaking twice, which is a whole lot better than major leaks every single night!

I don't think there is such a thing as leak-proof diapers, but I have been using the Huggies Overnights and they seem to hold it better. There seems to be extra stuff in them to absorb more.

My son is just turned a year and since he was about 4 months we did the following: when he was younger we bought a box of the next size up (if he wore sz 2 at night he wore sz 3) and we found that helped once he was about 6-8 months we started buying the huggies overnights and they work fantastic, we still use them now and he has not peed through since, he was constantly wet when he wore regular huggies, or even the pampers baby dry (the 12 hr ones) they are fine through out the day but not at night for my son. The huggies overnights are great try them they really do work, a bit more $ than regualr diapers but worth it not changing sheets every morning and haveing a rash or wet baby because of the peeing through. We will continue to use the overnight diapers until he is out of diapers, they are the only thing that works! Hope this helps (also huggies sends me coupons for the overnight diapers which helps alot,, sign up and you will get them too! )

I think the huggies overnight work really well. And even though this may be obvious to most making sure your baby is in the right size helps too.

I use washable nappies and found they leaked at night, so I use Pampers Dry Night just for night and have rarely had a problem with them. Make sure you get the right size for your baby as well.

We use a cloth diaper service and they have a night time insert. Plus Mother-Ease diaper covers don't leak as long as the diaper is tucked in.

I use huggies little movers by day, and huggies overnight diapers at night - seems to work well for me - although from time to time he does leak through - I think that after 12 hours I would too!

I use Huggies and Luvs I make sure that I put a frest clean diaper on him right before bed and He sleeps through the night. He'll usually sleep for 11 hours, and I haven't rally had a problem maybe once in a while more when he's growing out of a size he might leak through.

We use Huggies overnights for our twin boys and haven't had any leaks. They have them on for around 12 hrs. No rashes either. Michelle makes a good point. Try going up a size and see if that helps. The only time I've ever had leaking issues with diapers is when they were almost in the next size. Someone else makes Happy Days and Happy Nights diapers and I found those worked well too but they were hard to find. I can get the Huggies anywhere

My son sleeps through the night, sometimes up to 13 hours. At night he wears Pampers Nighttime and I haven't had a single problem. I use Luvs but found they leak when he sleeps that long. Now he wears Luvs during the day and Pampers Nighttime at bedtime.

I use to do Huggies and change my daughter in the middle of the night. But then I tried Pampers. They do sag more than a huggies diaper does, but no more having to change them in the middle of the night. My daughter is a size 5. But sometimes I put a size 6 Pampers on her and it does well. I rarely have leaks like I've had with Huggies. Hope that helps =]

I use luvs and I find they r the best I have never had a leakage yet and my girls flood their diapers overnight when they wake I am amazed that the diapers held all that liquid and I get them at BJ's by the case and they r very inexpensive and you get more diapers in there than the other brands

Have you tried Target brand diapers? My son has used them since he was 4 months old. They work well and are only $6.50 a pack. Such a good deal.

I used huggies overnites for my first born (he is 3 1/2) and a heavy wetter, the wet diaper would wake him up--after switching to the huggies overnites (even if baby is only in size 3 during the day, use size 4 or 5 at night if a heavy wetter) he has been sleeping through the night since 10 months old. My baby girl is not a heavy wetter so I have gotten by putting her in a size bigger diaper at night. For her I use the Sam's Club brand (Member's Mark)--unbelievable! If they made them in a size 6 I would be using them for my son. I also agree with Amber about the Target brand diapers--great value!

I believe I've tried them all for my little girl. She sleeps through the night and I don't want to have to wake her up just to change her diaper. If you have a Target near by get the Target up & up brand diapers. They're cheaper and you get more plus NO leaks! My daughter goes to bed at 7:30 pm and wakes up between 8:30-9 am. She'll be a year old next week but this has been her sleep schedule since she was 6 months old. I started using Target brand diapers when she was 6 months old. She loves them and so do I!

Pampers active fit!!! Wouldn't even try anything else, been using these since my daughter started moving, they supposed to be especially designed for all the wriggling about babies their age do during the night! Never had any problems and she sleeps 13 hours straight through!

Pampers were the only brand that I could get to last my son through the night. I tried Huggies and a number of other brands and Pampers ( I think they're called Super dry) are the only ones that last the night.

What kind of huggies do you use?? My older son was in huggies until he was potty trained and i found that the best absorbing huggies without buying the more expensive overnights was the huggies baby dry. It absorbs the fastest... when i was having trouble with leaking I found it was because he was holding and holding it and then going all at once and the diaper just couldnt absorb fast enough... Also that is a sign that he was ready to start potty training... I don't know exactly what your case may be but you also might wanna try the next size up diaper if that is possible ... good luck

I use the Huggies overnights, but also have found that "Fisher Price" diapers (they make day and overnight) work well and they are WAY cheaper. They are also hypo-allergenic, so my daughter had no issues with them (Pampers make her break out.)

I use to use the huggies but had a problem with him leaking every night, so I changed to the pampers extra dry about three months ago and so far he has been dry and I have had no problems. There have been nights where his diaper has been overloaded in the morning and they have held up very well.

I haven't problems with leaking, so much as keeping that wet feeling off of my son (who is 1 today!) I too use the Pampers baby dry at night, but I swear, they have compromised their quality. I never had a problem with my first son. I change him at 10:30/11:00 and he wakes by 2:00am with the diaper soaked full. Thanks for asking this question, the answer have been helpful to me too!!!

Pampers extra protection works well also! David wears one to bed, and never leaks through. I buy a big box of regular diapers and a small bag of the over nights. Since they are usually only wore at night, I only buy them about once a month.
