My little Madison is a very BUSY girl. She hasn't started crawling yet which I know alot of the April babies have, but I am enjoying the last few moments of calm. Even without the crawling she is busy...never sits still lol! She has her first tooth through and was pretty okay with the teething. She is eating 3 (2nd foods) meals a day and loves her solid foods, she also gets 4 7oz bottles of formula. She is my first babyand I love her to bits. She screams, laughs, only wants to feed herself so we trick her with a spoon for her and one for me. She has develpoed a very strong will as well which at this point is still pretty cute.

What milestones have your April babies hit and what funny things are they up to?

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

My little locky has just started walking in the last week, he is up to 10 steps! It's all pretty exciting! He has four teeth with one more about to pop though, claps, waves, dances and gives hi fives. He isn't very good with solids, chokes and then throws everything up because he has such a strong gag reflex, but i still try feed him solids twice a day. He can say mum and grand pa, but they are the only words he says that are very clear. He still has two one hour naps a day and goes to sleep at 730 pm n wakes up at 7 am with two bottles in between. Can't wait till he sleeps though the night and starts saying more words!! =]

My Noelle has been crawling for a month and a half. She pulls herself up and cruises all over the place! She just took her first steps the other a=day and will do a couple of steps and then sit down because crawling is faster! :) She says mama, dada, hey, and hi! She sleeps through the night too. I am happy that she is such a happy and active baby! :)

My daughter Bianca Blu, will be 9 months on the 14th. She crawls, pull's herself up to stand, bounces and is just starting to get interested in cruising, but we dont have much to hold onto in the house. Bianca claps, blows rasberries, high fives, and shakes her head yes and no. She has been saying Dada and Mum, for a while now, but also knows how to say Hi and will do so if you wave, or speak Hi. She also is constantly babbling with bababa, uh oh, and alot of other combo's! Bianca loves to feed herself, so much so that I can't wait for to get some more teeth, so she can have more finger foods because it is hard to get her to eat the jarred foods at times. Right now she has her two bottom teeth, so she is limited. She from the start used her pincher grasp and she has been introduced to a regular cup for months now, that I hold for her to drink out of and she uses her sippy cup on her own. She has slept through the night since she was about 3 mos, old and hardly ever cries. Bianca is a VERY happy baby, and is always content playing by herself! I am enjoying every moment with her, and while I always am excited to see what she will do next, I am so happy and content with what she is doing in the "Now"!

MY little boy James does that spoon thing too lol he was born on the 26th and has five teeth the very last one was the first tooth we had trouble with and they're all over the place (i think thats called cross cutting) he is very active he stands up and walks around his porta cot and has just started to "monkey crawl" - u know wen they use their feet instead of their knees? lol very funny so i'd say in about two months we will b running to keep up with him lol he has learnt a fair few words too he can say "mum" "dad" "nan" "hello" . James has recently learnt to wave and is a very chatty baby and loves to growl at people especially if the food is running a bit l8 getting from the bowl to his mouth

My baby is all over the place with milestones-behind on some and ahead on others. He claps and waves bye bye, crawls backwards but not forward, wants to stand up very badly and loves to flip the pages on his books-especially if they have animal pictures in them. He eats 3 meals a day and is starting to learn how to gum finger foods since he has no teeth despite teething since he was 4 months!
His favorite game is to kick our cat on the bum with legs while she flops back and forth. They have their own love affair and she just adores him even when he yanks her fur because he is excited. He loves other babies and kids but unfortunately we don't get a chance to be around other little ones that often.

My son, Isaac, is definately on the move. He has been crawling since about 7 1/2 months, although initially i twas more like a catepillar, but now he confidently crawling (properly) and every day seems to be gaining speed. In the last month he has started pulling himself up to the standing position, with a lil help from the furniture. In the last 2 weeks he has been furniture walking. Not at a great speed but definately gaining momentum everyday. He has 2 teeth (down the bottom) and i'm pretty sure there is a another coming through at the top. He's talking alot. Just the usual words, mama, dada, nana and baba seem to be the regulars. He is weighing about 9.5kgs at the moment. Myself and my partner are both 6 foot, so isaac is starting to show his height. He usually eats like crazy but has been a lil off his food the last few weeks (im sure thats got to do with the teething). He's not an overly fussy eater. His favourite foods at the moment are watermelon & mangos. He is also showing a liking to dried fruit, especially apples and apricots and this week i gave him a sultana for the first and he loved it. It seems like everyday he is doing something new and seems to be learning things so quickly. I'm loving every minute of it.

Hi! My daughter Morgan has just started crawling within the last two weeks. She is scooting all over the house. She really enjoys this new found independence. For Christmas I asked our family to get her some books. She loves being read to, likes looking at the pages by herself, and turning the pages when she is ready. She has her first 2 teeth on the bottom and they didn'y really seem to phase her. She too is also loving her 3 meals a day and likes to try and feed herself. She also likes to snack on cereal puffs by Gerber. They are also a great precursor to a meal while I am preparing it. Keeps her busy and satisfied while I fix her lunch or dinner and mine.

My Little Girl, Leslie, was born on the 3rd. She's been walking for approximately a month and has six teeth. She loves the Gerber Puffs as well and loves picking them up. Her favourite toys are her activity table and the trampoline. She does a booty shake on it and tries to jump on it... I got it for Christmas and it's become "her" toy. We have two dogs, one is a puppy, and she loves them to bits...Leslie started crawling in August and pulling herself up to stand Labour Day weekend..

My little Aubrey is getting into everything! She was born on April 22nd and weighs about 18lbs. She eats alot though she's still little! She crawls, she tries to stand up own her own, she plays with her toys, she walks around the house in her walker getting into everything, if you hold her hands she'll walk around the house with you and she pulls herself up. She has 5 teeth. She did great with teething with the 1st four teeth but once that 5th one came along, it upset her tummy and made her fussy. She drinks out of a sippy cup and has since she was 3 months. She picks up her food and puts it in her mouth. She's eatting cereal for breakfast with a 5oz sippy cup of formula, snack in between lunch and dinner (like veggie cheese puffs and a sippy cup of juice), stage 2 jar of food for lunch with a 5oz sippy cup of formula, stage 3 food with a 5 oz sippy cup of formula for dinner, and nurses before bed. She also loves to eat yo baby yogurt as a snack. She sleeps through the night and has since she was 2 weeks old! She babbles, screams, and laughs. She will wave and say hey. She also says mama, and dadadada. She loves Elmo, Abby, and Dora! She will go up to the tv and start laughing and babbling=)

Amelia has always been a busy girl! She's been taking steps here and there, the past couple of days she made it 5 or 6 steps at a time. She gets into everything, she loves exploring the room looking for cords or remotes to play with. I mostly feed her finger foods, but her daddy will only feed her jar food because he is terrified of her choking, she doesn't seem to mind either way. She has 4 teeth, 2 top and 2 bottom. She does a lot of babbling, she's said dada and baba so far. She loves blowing raspberries and clicking her tounge, you can tell when she is upset because she'll roll her tounge while she's having a good cry. It's so cute! She usually sleeps through the night. I can't believe she will be 9 mo. on the 12th!

My little man (born on 26th April) started crawling a few days before he turned 6 months. At 7 months he started standing up with support and now he is cruising the furniture, emptying the kitchen drawers and just creating total havoc in the house all day. He sleeps for only one hour during the day and 8 hours in the night. He has also started calling me mama and does a few little tricks when we prompt him like clapping his hands when we sing - If you're happy and you know it. My favourite is when he starts jigging to 'I like to move it move it'. This is the best age to be with them and I'm so glad I'm not going back to work atleast for the next few months!

My little Benji was born on the 1st and he has been crawling for a little while now. He has 4 teeth (2 top, 2 bottom). He can pull himself up and really doesn't need us for balance, I think it is only habit. He can only say mama and nanna. He's generally a very happy baby. We've been really lucky. He eats anything we give him. The only thing he ever rejected was avocado!! :-)

My Caleb is walking. I was surprised when he started crawling at 6 months, but not when he started walking at 8 1/2 months. He is such a busy guy, and he wants to keep up with his big brother. He also is climbing, like crazy. He climbs the stairs. He climbs up on boxes. He climbs up onto his brothers chair and from there onto the end tables. It is so funny to see this short little guys, walking and climbing all over the place.

Cordelia is doing the army crawl mainly. She can take up to 5 steps on her own but seems to prefer the army crawl over the walking right now. She does not seem to care for cruising on the couch, she only uses it to pull her self up to walk to something that she wants up higher. The most noticeable thing that she is doing is pointing - she points at everything! That is her way of saying I want to see that, and then she does the upside down wave to say she wants it. She is bf and does not do very well with eating solid foods. She will only eat items that she is able to feed herself and definetly nothing pureed. I am lucky to get her to eat one solid meal a day at this point but we are working on it.

AvaJoy will be 9 months on the 16th! It's hard to believe she's getting so big! It really seems like just yesterday she was brand new :-)
She started army crawling at the beginning of December and boy can she move! Especially when she sees something that she wants... She is just now starting to hand and knee crawl...she will go a few paces and then go back to army crawling...Just yesterday she pulled herself up on one of her toys! She sits up all by herself and loves to feed herself Gerber puffs and yogurt melts, the melts being her FAVORITE by far! She is eating almost 3 meals a day on top of nursing on demand, she is a very healthy little chunk ;-) I love all her rolls!! She is quite the little "talker"! She will just go on and on babbling and you can tell she is trying so hard to tell you something.. She says Mama, Dada, Baba, Num Num, Yeah, Up, Hi, and just the other night she said Baby and No :D She loves to scream at things and "sing"
Her favorite tv show is Little Einsteins followed closely by SpongeBob and My Friends tigger and pooh. She loves electronics, phones, remotes, Tvs, computers, cameras you name it and she WANTS it...She also loves stuffed animals, books, and her baby doll..
She doesn't have any teeth yet, but she is definitely trying to cut some ;( Poor thing is cranky and not sleeping well, Baby Tylenol, teething tablets and gel and liquid calcium are becoming our best friends these days. But teething aside she is a very happy and easy baby! I am an extremely blessed mama! And I am daily amazed by how much something so little can take up so much of my heart! I can't imagine life without her...

He loves to jump and chew on everything. He got his first two teeth back to back in december. He eats tons of food and only drinks a few bottles a day now. He is such a joy and I can hardly believe that he is 9 months today!

My son was born April 25. He's been crawling since Oct. 30 (at 6 mo.) and has 6 teeth already. He's so very advanced physically. My daughter did not even crawl til she was 9 months. So I was astonished when my son began to stand in his crib at 4 months and then crawl at 6 months. I'm amazed at his progress. However, it can be difficult to keep up with him since he IS crawling. Catch 22, I suppose.

My daughter Aiza turned 9 months old on 1st Jan.....she has mastered crawling, and always manages to get herself stuck under the coffee table! She also loves to hold onto furniture and pull herself up to stand up. However she still has no teeth, even though poor girl has been going through the misery of teething pain for about three weeks now. Other than that she is a happy bubbly baby and keeps me on my toes all the time!

hi marnie!
madison is absolutley LOVELY!i know this sounds random but she has the most perfect shaped head!sooo pretty!
my April baby, daughter Bronte was late at crawling too,so not to worry!only a week before christmas she started but only when we bribed her with chocolate!i think shes also a bit late at crawling as our house has timber floorboards as opposed to carpet which i believe bronte would have crawled a few weeks earlier.my eldest daughter crawled at 6 1/2 months, but our house back when she was a baby was carpet.but dont quote me on it,every baby is vastly different!
bronte got 2 bottom teeth at 5 months and her 2 top teeth have cut in the last week.teething is horrible.
as u say madisons a very busy gal, brontes not so much.shes very lazy!likes things being brought to her and such!
bronte has been pulling herself up on furniture also in the last few weeks, for a while there it looked like she was going to walk before crawl!
is madison sleeping through the night?does she wake up for bottle at all?
funny things brontes doing is COPYING!especially when my other daughter who is 4 years old shakes her head!she sticks out her tongue when u do it at her, squeals when u do it first, waves goodbye, picks up the tv remote or a mobile phone thats laying around and puts it to her ear and tries to say "hello" but sounds more like a 'eeoouu'!
bronte eats everything from pureed food, vegetables, chocolate, biscuits, fruit, chips, meatballs, pasta, fish etc!
can u believe our babies will be 1 in 4 months!time has flown!indeed enjoy them while they are little!

Quoting samantha:

wow all ur babies sound so far ahead of my ethan, he says dadada holds his bottle and claps he love playing tickles with daddy he laughs all the time, he has only rolled over three times he can sit up but is not stable he is no where near ready to crawl or walk.
Ethan loves to play with his big brother and sister, blows raspberries all the time. l suppose he will catch up with all of urs in his own time, l am just happy listening to him laugh all the time x

Every child is different there is three weeks difference between my daughter and my nieces daughter and huge differences in the milestones.....so don't feel like you are behind as long as he is growing and making steady progress he is adjusting at his own pace also having older siblings he could just want everyone to do it for him my brother was that way

Zoelia has been crawling since 6 months. She was born on April 9th. She walks holding on to things and has stood without holding on for a few seconds at a time. She is not yet clapping, but she waves and she knows a few signs. She says Mamma, Dadda, JazzLynne (sister), baby, and bite. She loves to play flying games and chase her sister around the house. She has stopped eating baby foods, she totally refuses them so she pretty much just eats a well chopped version of whatever we are eating. She loves water and her favorite time is bath time.

Liam (4-7-09) hasn't started crawling yet.. and gets frustrated by the whole process when I try to help him. He gets into the position but then wont make the first move. He loves to stand and walk while holding my hands. He doesnt pull himself up on anything yet except when he reaches for my hands. He has 4 teeth with with another on the way and has recently discovered a love for eating. He eats 3 meals a day plus formula (has no interest in juice or water). We're slowly trying finger foods but he wont chew just yet so its small bites at this point since he hasnt mastered the pincer grasp to feed himself. He babbles all the time though nothing really definitive. Trying to get him to say ma-ma but he just giggles at me. He does wave and point and loves to play with the baby in the mirror. He's certainly a handful and constantly wants to be moving around. He's a very happy baby, and also very strong-willed which seems to be a common theme among april babies! :) Its been a pure joy these almost 9 months, looking forward to the months ahead!

My Levi (4.7.09) Has been crawling for a few months now, The other day he stood up without holding onto anything! Wondering if walking is soon.. He still has NO teeth! He's been really cuddly and whiney and hot the past few days.. he's my first so I'm not sure.. but I'm wondering if he's teething. He eats 2 solid meals a day, we make our own baby food in a mill for him, he couldn't keep down the store bought baby food. I also still nurse him full time too. He also just began to hold onto my pants no matter what I'm doing and if I go slow enough he walks with me.. it gets annoying though as he never wants to just play by himself.

born on april fools day....Miss Dylan Grace Estelle has just turned 9 months and she has been pretty busy! She began walking just before she reached 8 months, keeping all of us on our toes She is working on breaking through our baby gates by moving anything she can to the gate to stand on. She loves to climb up onto everything and almost always find a way to do so. With all her walking/running she has taken some pretty bad spills...turns out it hurts me more than herself. She gets right back up and keeps on truckin'...she began sleeping in her crib ALL night long just three weeks ago ( before that her and i coslept in own room, she hated her crib!) Her nasty little teeth have yet to cut through, but still causing her pain every now and then. It has been 6 months of teething...aaahhhhh! poor thing. :( she loves to wave to everyone, herself included...for the most part she knows the meaning of "no", Dylan Grace loves to explore and play, along with her version of dancing to anything w/ a note. It mostly takes 2 people to change her diaper, There is always too much to check out for her to be lying down and having a freah diaper. Along with the 4 arms and sometimes legs needed to change her, comes her fight against clothes. She would love to be nude All day if it were her way. She can go from the happiest baby in the whole world to one of those babies you think is going to spin her head around the second you try to dress her, it is a brief fight, but it is a darn good fight My little angel loves to eat and drink. She helps herself to finger foods and drinks water from her sippy cup like a pro. Her and i are still nursing and we both still love and cherish our bond we have through that time spent nursing. Now if i could only teach her to nurse like every other baby...Dylan Grace feels the need to nurse while doing head stands, shooting her butt way up into the sky. anything crazy imagined really. It is entertaing to watch. Overall my baby girl is a thriving, beautiful, sillly, social, curious and an amazing human being and wouldnt change a single thing about her. I love her!

Madelyn (April 14th) has been crawling for a few weeks, kneels, and is beginning to pull herself up. She just started clapping Christmas Day - so adorable! She has been saying mama for quite some time (especially when is sad) but her fav is babababa. She loves playing games like Peekaboo. She tries her best to catch our cat, but he is still faster than her. She is a social butterfly with no signs of separation anxiety. No teeth yet (which I appreciate since I am breastfeeding). She is very curious and it amazes me to see her figure stuff out for herself. I love this age!

My little man, Nicholas. Has been crawling for 2 1/2 months. He is trying to walk, but cant quite get it yet. He has 3 teeth and the 4th one is working its way in. He says mama, dada, baba, and E.I.E.I. O. He loves our cat angel, and he is a very happy kid. He always has a smile on his face.

Torin crawls, babbles, pulls himself up, cruises, walks if you hold his hands, eats 3 meals a day of solid food, snacks on Gerber puffs & Baby Mum Mum, takes 3-4 8 oz bottles of breast milk a day & 8 oz of juice (sometimes a bottle of water goes to bed with him at night too), he's been trying to navigate the 2 steps we have & has already pulled himself up them & says: mama, dada, Aiden, bruh (brother), ever ever ever (he copied his older brother's tantrums), hi & more. He has a tooth that he just got last week & the other should be completely through by tomorrow morning. He loves jumping & wrestling with his brother & he's into everything. He likes to sneak attack people by crawling up to them really fast & lick them. It's like having a puppy. lol

Phoenix~Rose army~crawls everywhere she needs to go, but won't crawl! It's so sweet to see her scuttle her chunky little body across the floor. Her fourth tooth just broke through New Year morning :) She enjoys her yummy (2nd foods) meals, three a day and she's started drinking Gerber Applejuice every couple of days. She's a mover and a shaker! She refuses to just sit still, she's got to be standing or being held, she's quite the little diva! :)

Quoting Anna:

Reading all these replies makes my little girl seem slow! Lailah was born April 9 so almost 9 months old now! she is just now making attempts at crawling. She has been clapping for a few months now, says mama and dada, waves bye bye and says it. She uses the potty for poopy ( infant potty training) and is learning to sign. So far she knows the sign for eat which she loves to do! Her favorite foods are the organic happy baby puffs. She is a little girl through and through though. Knows how to shreak (which I don't remember her older brother doing) has no problem holding her own against her big brother, and just recently discovered that daddy is amazing! I love my little princess!

Not at all slow.  I think that it is great what she is doing.  I wish I could get my girl to wave and clap. My girl also thinks her daddy is amazing.  Lailah will get there and once she does you won't be able to stop her.

My little Hayley has been crawling for over a month now. She has been saying her first two words for the last month as well. At seven an a half months she was pulling herself up on the coffee table, couch and the gate. At the same time she learnt to sit up by herself. Could sit before this but needed support. Hayley got her first tooth on 30th December. I was so excited because teething has been painful for her. Hayley has been on solids since four months and now has three feeds a day with finger food inbetween. She is drinking out of a mug with handles - water.

Hayley loves being outside. But when inside she will push the curtains away from the sliding door so she can see the trees moving in the wind. All you hear is her giggling away at them. She also likes me blowing bubbles, reading books, musical toys, listening to music and watching Disney channel.

Hayley is a very busy little girl and god help us when she actually gets walking. I am hoping that is a long time off yet.

Edgar is 8 and a half months old and he has 2 bottom teeth. He doesn't seem to have any interest in crawling at all yet, but he does seem more interested in walking. 2 days ago I stood him up and he stood there by himself for almost 30 seconds!! He says papa but no mama yet :( He also makes some noises kind of like the Grudge! lol

Reese is going to be 9 months on the 9th of January 2010, a really ACTIVE and BUSY baby. She is crawling all over the place (crawls away from us when we change her nappy, so we change her on the floor), and pulling herself up and walking around holding whatever she can. We bath her in the big bath now, she climbs out of her. She just discovered the TV, good thing it has child lock :) She throws tantrums when we take stuff away from her, even if we replace it with something else. She is eating 3 meals a day but, it's a real mission feeding her because her mouth stays closed lol! Amazingly she loves drinking water. We manage to get feeds in her mouth with a trick... She loves our dog Brown, she loves talking baby language.
