When did your april baby get his/her first tooth?

My daughter got her two bottom teeth right before Thanksgiving and just got her top left tooth last week. She puts everything in her mouth to chew. For a while she would chew everything except the finger food! But now she has figured out she likes to feed herself. She loved chewing on a frozen washcloth when she was cutting her top tooth.

Our son got his first two teeth on Christmas Day, just under 9 months old! This was after months of us wondering if he was teething or not as he also liked to chew on his fist and fingers for months. The only 'normal' tell tale sign we had was loads of nappies and some nappy rash - I changed his nappy 10 times the one day before they broke through. He loves his dummy too, we try not to give it to him all the time but it helps calm him down too, but there are loads of good teethers out there that double up as toys and rattles, but teethers that you can put in fridge are also good. And instead of using teething gell try giving him Chamamilla - it's the same stuff they use in the teething granules - this has really helped calm my son down. He's normally really good and doesn't moan, but come evening and during his sleep it obviously hurts, so this has helped loads. He only woke up once last night. My daughter was 9 months on the 1st and still has no teeth, even though she is going through whole teething pain process at the mo. However im not worried as my first-born had her first tooth when she was nearly 10 months, even by her first birthday she only had 2, but after that the rest came fast. Just keep a teether or two handy in the fridge at all times, they have been a godsend for me!

my litle girl got her first tooth at 5 months old and now at 8 months she has ten teeth. I worked for a lady whos child did not have any teeth a 8 months but by the time her child reached 13 months she had a whole mouthful. They will come a cold wet washer is good for their gums and a food stocking is good as well I use these things all of the time. you can get a baby's first tooth brush it is a rubber brush that the baby can hold it has a sheild around the head of it than the handel that they can hold and chew on all of my girls have cut their teeth on it and it cleans their teeth as they ply with it, it also makes it easyer to clean their teeth when they get older. I found these things to be helpful I hope they help you out.

From what you're describing, it sounds as though teeth may be on the move if hands and/or toys are always in the mouth. I'd recommend having teething rings that are able to be kept in the fridge on hand.. We've tried to avoid baby panadol, only giving when he was really upset and the teethers didn't seem to soothe..
Just be patient.. they will come when they're ready! (and if still breastfeeding its not a bad thing if they're awhile away, trust me :) )

My son is almost 9 months and has 2 teeth with another on the way (i think). He got his first one at about 6 or 7 months. Babies can get thier teeth sometimes early and sometimes late. I have a friend who's daughter didn't get her 1st tooth til 11 months. Oh and they can take ages to come up. Its really frustrating but it will happen eventually.

At 7 and a half months (two weeks ago) my little girl popped two teeth out within days of each other.



Sounds like your little one is teething. Thats what Ella did right before they made an appearance.



Ella loved to gnaw on frozen banana and frozen lettuce. (She doesnt like teething toys).

my son's first toothe popped up on thanksgiving like litterly over night, since then he had a cold and is teething but not in much pain i dont have to give him motrin or nothing, now he has 5 teeth total 3 on top one on the bottom and he is getting another on the top. he never complains about anything unless he has a belly ache. he doesnt drool either

My daughter was 7 1/2 months old. My doctor told me that it was normal to not have any teeth until age 1. She's the only one of mine who got teeth this late, to me, though.

the listed time for average first tooth development is between 4-10months. wide range. my son is 8.5months and no teeth. still breastfeeding though, so I think I am ok with the first tooth coming at 10 months. our luck he will probably get 3 all at the same time.

My daughter got her first in the beginning of Nov. She has 4 now and 2 more about to pop through! The thing that worked best for her was Teething Tabs at first and then Tylenol when they were just about ready to come through.

My son is exactly the same he will be 9mo on 1/1/10 and has none yet either, chews, drools and all the things youd think he'd have one by now. But he is still so cute and seems like my baby yet w/o them, i will be happy but sad when he does get them. They will come all to soon, just enjoy that they cant bite you yet! :) if he seems in pain then just rub some baby orajel on his gums

14 weeks then it took 2 months for the next set and his last set have just come through.

Tis much fun whilst breastfeeding for the first few days!

Give them something softish and something hard to bite on. Sam has a blanket with ribbons on in loops and hard teething stuff which help him.

Don't know if you can get them in your country but Ashton and Parsons powders are amazing as is baby bonjela or equivalent, esp if you are bf'ing the gel contains a mild local anesthetic which helps if you pop on the old nipple area to numb your pain as well! Bf'ing went much better after I found that out!

My son got his first teeth (2 bottoms at the same time) in Sept. and is getting his uppers now (They just are breaking through). He loves the teethers in the fridge. He also likes to chew on any kind of teether/soft toy. I also got one of the infant tooth brushes and use it to massage his gums. He seems to like that.

Just remember that all chldren will get teeth at different times. My older son got his first teeth earlier than this, but waited longer to get his third and fourth teeth.

My daughter got her first teeth at about 6 1/2 months. She's now 8 months and still holding steady with two on the bottom. She was really fussy at first, but the teething toys that you put in the frig really helped.

my daughter got her first two teeth around thanksgiving.. if you use the cool teethers put them in the fridge cause after putting them in the freezer and then letting the child chew on them you risk the teethers breaking and the child swallowing the liquid. so read the package first and make sure it is freezer safe..

Kaelea turned 8 months on Dec. 11 and she just cut her first tooth on Friday Dec. 18th
She was waking up in the middle of the night for the past couple of weeks crying. All we could do for her was comfort her, give her a bottle and Tylenol and use a all natural Teething Gel (Hyland's - Teething Gel). You can get it at Shoppers Drug Mart for around $10 - $12. It seems to help. You can also give him a cooled teething right, It kinda helps. There really isn't to much more you can do.

I know this is not typical, but my 8 month old has seven teeth! He had two teeth come through when he was two months old...I used a teether a lot, but I had to hold it because he was too little. Most of the time I used a little origel and a binki!!

My son is just 8 months now and has no teeth yet. Don't worry about it i talked to my doc about it and he said that the longer the teeth stay down the healthier and stronger they will be, which was good news for me. I def recommend the teething net where u can put ice chips in or frozen fruit. My son loves it, but make sure he has had the fruit first so there is not any reaction too it and ABSOLUTELY no strawberries until over a yr. Teething rings, frozen or cold cloth for ur baby to chew on are great as well. Dont worry your babe is just fine as so is mine. Good luck :) and happy holidays.

My son is eight months. He got his first tooth at six months. Now, he has six and is working on seven. Nothing seemed to work for him. But, a cold towel or maybe a cold, peeled apple for him to gnaw at would help. My son really liked that.

my daughter is 8 months old and she got her first tooth at 6 months old and her second just before 7 months. i just noticed her left top tooth broke through! i have been giving her motrin per her weight and cold wash cloths and she just chews on anything she can get her hands on! its a miserable time for her and mommy and daddy! i wish there was more i could do to help her....dont worry about his teeth not coming in just yet, my best friends daughter didnt break one single tooth until she was 18 months old so all babies are different. good luck!

My son Braiden is 8 months since the 14th of December and just cut his 7th tooth.. yes 7!! it's crazy! and he cut his first tooth through at about 4 months. and a week later the second one came in. Just be patient.. not every kid is ready to have a mouth full of teeth like Braiden is!! lol

My daughter is 8 months and she has no teeth either, but they say the later the teeth to come in the better they are because they don't rot faster or anything like that, but what i have been doing is giving her a cold wash cloth to chew on but, we are just waiting now.

My Daughter Jamie was born April 24th 2009 she has 2 teeth on bottom i let her teeth on arrow root cookies baby mum mums and spoons were her fav.Babies have teeth and other things happen with them at different stages Jasmie is my second child so its easier to know what to do with the second your prob not doing enything wrong all babies grow differently is all my first child dident get eny theeth till around eight months my daughter had her first at 6 months old my mom really belives in all the old wives tales anf=d says she got hers early because im pregnant again due in may so jamie will do everything a little sonner then oothers im starting to believe it. So with teething all ya need is a little pataience and some spoons lol baby spoons of course chew toys that have bumps and such good luck with the teething processs its a pain but eventually they will come in.

my son is 8 month and has 4 teeth i think he got his first two through at the same time around 5-6 month, it sounds horrible but they just have to deal with teething theres nothing much you can do, just comfort him, try teething gel and calpol thats what worked for me the best and let him chew on something cold , like a teething ring thats been in the fridge or freezer goodluck!! :)

My son got his first two bottom teeth about at 4 months, then another on the bottom at 6 months, and just got three teeth over the past 2 weeks... To help the teeth come in, I give him teething biscuits in the sassy net thing so that he cannot choke... Everytime I give him the teething biscuits, teeth seem to come right in!

My youngest has 2 teeth already and he's almost 8 months old, my first son didn't have teeth untill he was almost a year! so they can get them at very different times, try a cool damp wash cloth, or my son really liked this vibrating teething toy, and if they seem like there in alot of pain the health nurse told me to give them a little mortrin as it helps if there gums are sore and inflamed. hope this helps, my second son was grumpy for 2 weeks while he got his teeth and didn't sleeep, and wanted to be held all the time hope your son has an easier time with it!

My Baby boy is almost 8 months, got his first two teeth at the same time at about 6-7 months. And is now cutting the top 3-4 middle teeth all in one go. It's so hard hearing him scream so much especially when there isn't much we can do to help ease the pain for them.
