No. My son cut his first 2 at 4 or 5 months and is about to cut the next 2 at 8 months. A bub in my Mother's group cut her first 2 at 3 months so I would say your son is quite normal with his teeth.

No it is not early!! I have heard of children having teeth much earlier but around seven months is when you should expect them to start showing up. My daughter just turned eight months and has five teeth now!!

My baby is now 8 months plus and still no teeth, way behind all the babies mentioned above but, I know they will come through just fine when they are ready and she won't be impaired in other areas of her development because of 'late' teeth. It is not a competition and I must be mindful to remember to soak up the enjoyment see gives me every day because it is soooooo easy to forget what she was like yesterday let alone last week and that is very sad for me, was I that busy?

hi abey!!! my daughter started to cut teeth at 5 months old...which i heard was early but shes also getting ready to walk, she says mama and now has 4 teeth so she has decided to do EVERYTHING early haha....your son is right on track for that first tooth, now they will start coming in one right after the other, the top ones seem to give the most discomfort though, infant motrin has helped a lot at bedtime for us...dont worry your little man is just fine!!!

Every baby is different...my baby had 6 teeth at 7 months and the top two came in first??? The bottom two, right after , then the two top incisors, right after. But be patient because teething is really a hard time for them and there little that can be done to help them out....

My son cut his first two teeth at 4 months (within a day of each other). The second two came through at exactly 6 months (again, within a day of each other). When I had my daughter 10 years ago, she cut her first two teeth at 4 1/2 months.
I hope this eases your mind!

Those are all signs of cutting teeth. It doesn't happen right away. Could take a few weeks before you see and white coming through there gums. My son was drooling, chewing on everything, cranky, waking up in the middle of the night and fevers. Once they come through, they are happy again!

How do you all know if they are cutting teeth? My girl is unhappy, chews on every thing, a bit of drooling buy I can't see anything in her mouth - ah white under the gums but nothing that says 'teeth'...I don't know how you all know your babies are teething, or do you realise once the teeth are actually through/

Every baby is different. My son started teething from birth and it used to hurt while breastfeeding as his sucking was really hard. Then he had teeth at 7 weeks.

Not at all. My Son cut is 7 mos and cut his first tooth when he was 51/2 mos! and his second one about a week later. I was freaked out thinking that was too early but I was told by my doctor that the average age is 7 mos but they can get them earlier. and mine did.

I don't think it's early simply because my daughter is now 8 months and 4 days and has 7 teeth and 3 more that will be through within the week. My friends kids didn't get teeth until 18 months.

don't worry my little one is 7 months old and she has four teeth coming through, its been fairly rough on her, but at least she's getting them all out of the way in one big swoop, so she won't be grizzly for months on end which is great!!

My little guy was about 5 months when one tooth just appeared...he was a big drooler since about two months of age, then a second tooth appeared beside it a week later and now he just got a 3rd one in beside those two. They are all at the bottom and this third one has by far been the most bothersome for him, even caused him to get an ear infection. But yeah, every baby is different...I have a friend who's daughter didn't cut her first til about 8 or 9 months and now she is 14 months and has a ton of teeth and my nephew is six months and doesn't have any!
