15 week old has restless nights

I'm hoping maybe someone has experienced something similar to my situation and maybe shed some light on it.

My LO had been STTN since she was 5 weeks. On occasion she would fuss early in the morning and I would give her a paci and she'd go back to sleep. Well the last couple nights she's been starting to fuss and cry, not waking though, at around 1am and I can't get her settled hardly. The only way she would sleep this morning was if she was propped up. As soon as I layed her flat she would cry. I swaddle her in a woombie and she sleeps in her crib. I thought maybe she was teething so I tried teething tablets. That didn't do much. The night before I even resorted to a middle of the night feeding, still didn't help. I am exhausted and at my wits end. i don't know what the deal is. Is it time to stop the swaddle? She's never had reflux issues, but could it appear suddenly. Is it from teething? How can we go from sleeping great, to this weird pattern? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

I was going to also recommend the Nap Nanny! I heard that it was recalled but I am personally still using mine. It seems that the tragic incident was really due to it being used in the wrong location. I have always used my Nap Nanny on the floor according to the instructions and it is really the only place my LO will sleep! We've tried every alternative before purchasing the Nap Nanny originally.

thanks for the advice ladies. She is sleeping much better since I stopped swaddling her. I will mention the episodes to her pedi though and see what he thinks.

Just posted something similar to someone else on here but it sounds like you may be having a similar problem by the way you say that your LO will only sleep propped up. Did you ever consider reflux? Some babies show symptoms of this later on and begin to show discomfort- not being able to sleep flat is a big tell tale sign. I would ask the pedi what they think. For our LO with reflux who won't sleep flat we use the Nap Nanny and it is great. No more sleep problems over here! Just FYI! Good luck!

Maybe her nose is stuffy and she's having trouble breathing? Maybe that's why she cries when you lay her flat? If your baby hasn't has issues with reflux up to now, she probably isn't waking up because of it. If you're breast feeding, something new in your diet might be giving her gas pains. It's also common for babies who are reaching new milestones to have sleep disturbances. I found this link to be helpful:

aiden has never been a swaddler he hated it from day 1.. but hes has a few of those night.. his was gas.. n when he got rid of it he went to sleep.. n im not sure if reflux would just start .. u will have to talk bout that with her doc..
