My son was 9 lbs and 12 oz , 20 3/4in at birth!!! I was wondering if my son is rather large being that my husband and i are 5ft 10in and 6ft 1in or if his weight is now normal at his age for what he weighed at birth? Now he is 6 wks and is 11 lbs and 14 oz, 22in!! Anyone else have a big baby? :P

My daughter was 8.59lbs and 23.6in at birth. I'm happy she is a big, helathy baby, but she is not fat at all because of her length. :-)

my daughter was 9 lb 8 oz and 21.5 in. my husband is tall (6'1") and thin and I am also tall (5'8") and thin. My first daughter was 9 lb 6 oz and so this time we were expecting a big baby. She is in the 100th percentile for weight. She was almost 14 lb at 2 months. She is exclusively breastfed and I am proud to be her total source of nourishment! I am glad to have such a big, healthy baby!

my son was 8lbs 12oz 21 3/4 in long but my fiencee is 6'9'' so i think hes taking after his daddy lol but my sister had 2 10 lb babies so maybe its just this generation lol

my lil man was weighed at 9lbs and 14oz at birth, me and my partner is fairly tall (5.9 anna. 6.1 partner) but im also diabetic so that why he weighed that at birth.

My son was 8 lbs 5 oz at birth, 9 lbs 8 oz at one week, 10 lbs 15 oz at two weeks and at 10 weeks he was over 17 lbs. He is now 12 weeks and near 20 lbs! 100% breastfed. He hasn't been to the dr since two weeks of age, he goes again on Monday so I have yet to find out what the dr thinks about his size. Idk yet if it is normal but he is very healthy. He hasn't had any problems since birth *knock on wood*

My son was 9lbs 4oz, 20 3/4" when he was born. He is now three and weighs 41lbs and is 41" tall. He is the size of a four year old and everyone can't believe he is only three. He started out big and is still big. He gets it from my side of the family. I have a tall brother and tall uncles. Sounds like your son is destined to be tall :)

my baby was 9lb when born her father is 5'10 & i'm 5'2 she was 20inch long the health visitor just said I did & am doing my job right bronnie was 5wks on fri & weighed 12lb 6oz bless her♥ so don't worry my mum said they all catch up @ about 1 xx

My son was 9lbs 4oz and 22in long at birth (38 weeks 5 days). At his 2 month appt (he was almost 9 weeks) he was 14 lbs and 23 3/4 in). He's a big baby for us. I'm only 5'1 and husband is 5'11. Although his mothers side has very tall people and big babies.

my third child was 9 lbs 6 oz my other three children were all normal weight . i dont know why that happens either. but i feel for you. i gave birth naturally did u?

yup my lil guy was 9.13.5 and 21 inches long... i was 7.7 when i was born but my hubby was bigger baby as well... bigger babies run on my hubbys maternal side... hubby and are average height me 5'7 and hubby 5'9...i went to 40w 2d gestation, stomach measuring @ 44wks... in ultrasounds jackson always measured two weeks ahead of his age.... now at two months he is starting to teeth!

My son was born on April 23rd. He weighed 8lbs 7oz at birth and now at 6 weeks he is probably nearing the 12lbs range. This is completly normal. I know I was 8lbs 2oz when I was born...my husband was only in the 6lbs range. I'm not sure if women will be similar to their mothers (I'm sure it isn't always that way) but my mom had a 8lbs 2oz baby then a 9lbs 11oz baby so I always thought I'd have a baby in the 8lbs range, and I did. Either way, it is normal to have babies this size...just as normal as it is to have a 6lb baby. If he was 12lbs at birth well then that would be rare!

my baby was born april 6th, 9lbs5oz 20 inches long at Home. I think its fairly normal. She's 9 weeks and last week she weighed in at 10lbs15oz.

my daughter was born on April 28 (5days late) weighing 10lbs 6oz. this was my second and my first was 9lbs 11oz. my husband is tall but my family just makes big babies. and both were vaginal delivieries.

my daughter was born on April 15th 2010 weighing 9lb 15oz. neither myself of my partner are tall/big, must be something in the water :)
