Anybody's April Babies said they're first word yet. My DD started saying Dada about a week ago. She was born on 4-7-2010. It seems kind of early to be saying her first word, however she's done everything earlier than the books say she should. She had teeth through the gums at 3 1/2 months. She started out saying A-Dada, now she's got Dada down pat. Last night she was just going Dada, dada, dada. Gotta work on Mama now.

My Daughter Isabella or as I call her Bella Boo started calling me MEME and NENE at 2 1/2 months then at 3 1/2 months she said Daddy clear as day which made my husband so happy now she said yeah, hi, and a few other things its so cute to see how advance she is and she loves learning more each day. She's even trying to walk already!

Kitty is 6 months and for a few weeks has been humming (!), saying dada but laughs when i try and make her say Mama (they know!) and had her first tooth, its all go! She is also quite enjoying making very loud raspberries right in the most embarrassing situations, a queue is Sainsburys for instance! Cheeky monkey

my daughter was born 4/2/10 and all she says are vowel sounds and squeals. Both my kids seem to focus on locomotion first, and speech later (my 2-year-old never really started talking until between 15 and 18 months, but she walked at 10 months). whenever she's ready...

Both my daughters had the same first word- umga/ ungai (hungry). My now 5 month old daughter has been saying he own rendition of the word hungry for at least two months now. She can also say hi. I think she thinks hungry is my name as I breastfeed her, so she considers me and food to be pretty much one and the same.
